Have been to this restaurant several times and it has become a firm family favourite. But not after my last visit. We waited a good half an hour to be served after giving our food order. We sat and waited patiently munching the complementary Prawn crackers and having our drinks. Food arrived after a 30 minute wait. When we had finished our food and drinks we had to wait 45 minutes to be asked if we wanted the bill. But they brought bill anyway. We asked for some Chinese tea and a plain vanilla ice cream each. We waited another 25 minutes for them to serve. We only got half portions not complete full scoops of ice cream. It was covered in chocolate sauce. Which neither of us asked for and we were not told the ice cream comes with chocolate sauce! We repeatly asked for the empty dishes and serving plates to be removed from our table. Before the ice cream arrived. We got so tired of asking for the dirty dishes to be removed we put them on another table. Not normal practice of any restaurant so serve more food if the previous lot of dirty dishes has not been removed from the table. Ice cream came and the waitresses and waiter still did not clear the dirty dishes and serving plates. When she was asked why the service was so poor. We were told that they are more concerned with getting the Just Eat and other take-away orders out first before dealing with us. We were the only two customers in there! As we were leaving we told the waitresses about the whole lack of service and we were kept waiting so long for everything. She was oh did you I did not know. There was a mumbled apology. Nothing was even mentioned about taking something like a drink of the bill as a way of compensation. The meal should have only taken about an hour all together We were there for just over 2 and a half hours waiting to be served. We were also informed that there was a new waiter. But two people to serve two customers in an empty restaurant was ridiculous! We also asked as to why one of the take-away drivers was lounging about in a chair with a streaming cold and kept grunting and sniffing when people were trying to eat. But we were told that it was our problem not theirs as that is their culture and that they were not sniffing. The whole experience was a total let down. We even had to put our taxi lift back twice as the meal was taking so long! Waitresses was also told but not that concerned. (People get charged extra if they mess taxi firms about!). Will think twice returning to this restaurant in the future. If anyone intends going to this place think about how long you have to spare to 1. To actually get served. 2. To eat your food. 3. Staff ignoring your custom. The people there need to realise the customers pay their wages! If they just want to do take-away orders either close up the restaurant or make sure your customers are not ignored. As a restaurant if you cannot cope with just two customers, then you could not cope wirh a full restaurant The whole experience was just a...
Read moreI recently dined at Noodle Zone and it exceeded all my expectations. From the moment I walked in, the ambiance was warm and inviting, with a delightful aroma of fresh ingredients in the air. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations and ensuring a seamless dining experience. The menu is a tantalizing fusion of Malaysian and Chinese cuisine, offering a diverse range of dishes that cater to every palate. I started with the Hainan Chicken Rice, a dish that's notoriously hard to perfect, but Noodle Zone nailed it. The chicken was tender, and the accompanying sauces were spot on. The Laksa soup was a revelation. The aromatic blend of spices and creamy coconut milk created a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The Char Kway Teow was another standout - perfectly wok-fried noodles with just the right amount of smokiness and a medley of fresh ingredients.
The attention to detail in each dish is commendable. It's evident that the chefs here are passionate about delivering an authentic experience. The staff are incredibly friendly and well-versed in the menu, offering great recommendations based on personal preferences. I was so impressed with the foods and customer's services so I went again there. This time, I opted for the Pad Thai and it was an absolute masterpiece. The noodles were perfectly cooked, with a balanced medley of flavors that danced on my taste buds. The portion size was generous, leaving me happily satisfied.
The ambiance is warm and inviting, making it an ideal spot for both casual outings and special occasions. Whether you're a seasoned fan of Malaysian and Chinese cuisine or a curious newcomer, Noodle Zone is the...
Read moreNoodle Zoneâs got all that you can ask for from a Chinese takeaway and restaurant! âď¸Food âď¸ Service âď¸ Price âď¸ Location I wouldnât believe the negative reviews from before as this resto has been completely revamped under new management! The owner/manager personally greeted and served me and my friends herself, making us feel at home right at the get-go. The service was easy and relaxed in a chill environment where you wonât feel rushed to order and eat. The facilities are clean, tidy, and welcoming. I inspect dining places when I eat out, and I was so pleased that everything had been spick and span from cutlery to table setup down to the washrooms! Really impressive ambience with soft music playing to set the mood. You have the option to eat downstairs for ease of access or upstairs for a bit more privacy. The food is nothing short of exceptional! Everything was served hot in generous portions with fresh ingredients. Itâs the best in Colchester, possibly the best takeaway food Iâve had! Itâs also great value for money without leaving you to scratch your head, saying, âYou get what you paid forâ because you get MORE than what you pay for! Who doesnât deserve a tasty treat after a tiring day? Or every now and then? Iâll be coming back again and again. I hope Noodle Zone...
