Pepe's — Restaurant in Colchester

I’ve been a regular customer of Pepe’s for a while but recently I’ve been noticing a degrading quality of service. I’ve been patient for multiple orders and have even raised the issue with management before posting here.

Their negligence in handling the food delivery has become worse. I’ve ordered through their app for a while now and the recent orders have all been delivered at least 30 mins later than the time they show as ETA. And the worst is for today when I chose time of delivery to be late around 7 pm while placed the order around 5.30 but when I received the order the pita bread was completely dry and very hard to eat. Also, I’ve called them and requested for providing separate package for the chicken which they ignored completely. If I wanted some dry pita with no flavour I would’ve either skipped it or got a plain pita bread. I feel the money is a total waste here.

For the recent orders, there were multiple times the package was broken and the juices spill all over the place upon opening the cover. Raised this issue multiple times with the store but no resolution.

Dreadful service and unprofessional attitude from both staff and manager Mohamed. After waiting for a long period of time, I had to call the store to enquire about the delay. Turned out no drivers were free on either JustEat or UberEats. The world must have a shortage of delivery drivers according to them. Anyways this isn’t the first occurrence my order has been misled by management. I was told the order was then on the way, however 30mins lapsed and no food delivered ‘still preparing’.
