Saddened to say how upset I am with my experience here. Walked into the restaurant with good expectations as the reviews seemed good. I was glad to see there where other customers in there (poor them)so that was a good sign to me. However, the staff looked pretty scruffy with no set uniform and shirts untucked but that wasn’t my main concern.

We ordered a red curry, spring rolls and a phed yan. My partner received this red curry and straight away there was a potent off smell, it looked very oily as well as tasted like socks and off milk, the duck was cooked well however not enough sauce, and the rice was too stodgy and tasteless.

One of the senior staff members then proceeded to be pretty argumentative and I quote questioned; if I’ve ever had Thai before? I felt insulted and very belittled by how poorly this matter was solved. I would not recommend and I had to savour my evening with...

I'll start off by saying the food was simply exemplary. It had indepth and significant tastes with very satisfying portion sizes, I cannot fault the quality of food whatsoever.

Maybe they just had an off day as the service however was rather disappointing. The restaurant wasn't overly busy so the excuse of other customers would be invalid, but the service was so painstakingly slow. Took over 2 hours to have a starter and a main course. Even to have a pint arrive we were waiting upwards of 15 minutes.

By way of cocktail speed, I thought these were the only quick thing about the service, having only 1 member of staff making cocktails which take 2 / 3 minutes a time, I thought this was the only timely service we received.

I would come here again for the sake of the food, and also appreciating that it may have just been a 1 off bad day for...

Really disappointed with Thai One tonight. We've ordered plenty of times in the past and the food has always been excellent and the portions sizes really good - so much so that we usually have left overs the next day.

We ordered via deliveroo tonight as they don't deliver direct, and was really looking forward to it but the portions were ridiculously small! We usually share a noodles and have lots left over, tonight I had to cook extra rice to make up for the lack of noodles.

My husband no48 off the menu which was a beef curry however it came with mushrooms. Nowhere on the menu did it say mushrooms were included in the curry, not ideal for someone who avoids mushrooms. All the other dishes stated mushrooms were included in the curry.

Overall disappointed this time round and unlikely to order again...

For a Friday this restaurant was surprisingly quiet and upon further into the meal I can understand why. The prawn tempura was very greasy and needed a lighter batter and maybe a different type of prawn. The beef dish (no 27) was ok but needed fresher ingredients and the fried rice with chicken (no 56) lacked any real flavour. Service was slow and confusing as they had 2 servers at our table, I'd recommend keep a server to a section and overlap on busy days. The floral touch to the decor was nice but it needs a fresh coat and maybe have a smell of ginger and lemongrass wafting in the air and it might help give some ambience. Some light music is needed and maybe a rehaul of the menu, as didn't see anything past 2 chillies but I could be wrong. Spice is life, please don't steer away from it.

This was my first time visiting this gem of a restaurant. The food was fabulous and had amazing flavours throughout the dishes, and coupled with fair prices throughout their menu, it was a real treat to dine here. The restaurant itself was beautifully presented with great ambience- and the servers were very friendly providing great service, for example the man who served us, (Yard) recommended items on the menu and politely helped us. Being our first time trying Thai food and cuisine, I am sure in saying that it won’t be the last time.
