The Foresters Arms — Restaurant in Colchester

Came across this place whilst on a weekend away. Darryl the manager was exceptionally friendly, gave advice and directions when requested. We were made to feel very welcome. The atmosphere was very relaxed and the vibe was great. Everyone was friendly. We went out of our way to return later in the day for food after seeing a selection come out earlier in the day. The food was hot, fresh and cooked to perfection. I don't normally write reviews but felt that this place deserved the time. Games were available to play, entertainment nights were clearly displayed. I would give this place zero stars if I could. Today Saturday 21 August at about 16.35 my husband went into this pub to make change for the parking meter offering to pay cash £20 for a drink so that we could have some change. They refused to serve him point blank saying he has to buy food to be served. Everyone else in there were just drinking. We booked here randomly for our yearly Christmas/friend’s birthday gathering, what a wonderful little gem. Holly is superb landlady decor , the social media competition , huge jar gravy bones available for your furry friends , darts , and much much more. You made us feel really welcomed and right at home.
