Food looks amazing, we were upset we weren't able to try it.
we arrived at our booked time and were very quickly seated and received our drinks , it was obvious they were very busy which is fantastic to see. However after an hour we still hadn't received our pizzas.
This wasn't necessarily the main issue as again we could see how busy it was, however when I asked one of the staff how much longer they thought it would be they didn't seem keen to let us know.
we were told there was a very large table who had put in their order before us (understandable) but that they were now onto our order When I asked for clarification on if it was being made or if it was in the oven (a big time difference) I was rudely told "well he's making it" I really didn't appreciate the way we were being spoken to as we had tired to be nothing but understanding and polite.
When we decided that unfortunately we did not want to wait longer as we were very hungry and also did not want to stay much later (it was already past 7 now) we were again met by rudeness from the member of staff and she walked over to the open till where she complained about us fully in front of us in a huff to the other staff and chiefs
Our decision to leave was based of this and also the fact there were already two other groups waiting to be seated for their reservations so we did not want to eat into other peoples time
After all of this we were still charged £15 for two soft drinks, some chips and bread. We paid without complaint at the time but considering how we were treated and the situation it didn't really feel fair.
Again the food did look incredible so congratulations to the chief however the service leaves something to be desired, the younger member of staff who initially took our drinks order was lovely though
It's great to see a small restaurant thriving but service is...
Read moreI had heard really good things about this place, but never even got to have any pizza.
We had arrived on time for our booked table and got drinks and starters quickly, but after waiting 45 minutes we still hadn't gotten our pizzas or had anyone speak to us to let us know we'd have to wait longer.
After asking, we were let known that it was the next to be ready and when asked if it was being made or in the oven cooking , we were rudely told "well he's making it now" by the Old Waitress which didn't make us feel welcome and want to stay there. After this interaction and being hungry after waiting, we decided to leave, and was met with rudeness from the same waitress who went and moaned about us to the chef in earshot of us which is very unprofessional.
Before leaving, we saw two other couples waiting, who were probably waiting around 15 mins just for their booked tables to be free.
Considering the situation, we were still charged £15 for 2 small drinks, plain salted chips and some bread and oil. No apologies for waiting or the inconvenience, no compensation, just a bad experience and a low chance of...
Read moreMy family went on a busy Friday night on the bank holiday weekend. The staff were beyond helpful and friendly... they were so busy but always attended to us. I'm gluten-free so the idea of a "proper" wood fired pizza was so exciting, and I could choose any of the SAME toppings... no supermarket alternatives in sight! My daughter isn't adana of pizza and we still had great options for her, like truffle fries and arancini. The drinks offering was varied and the child's pizza for my taller-than-average son (9 but the size of a 12 year old) was good alongside a very generous ice cream dessert, offering all the flavours not just the standard 3. Honestly it was a delightful meal, and they deserve all the business!! Great job! I look forward to a return trip next time we visit my...
