I've just had a 1 night stay at this hotel and found it to be a very good, well run hotel. It is in the centre of Blockley, which is home to BBCs Father Brown. There is a car park around the back, the road leading up to the car park has enough room for one vehicle to go up and down it at a time. There is limited spaces available, so try and arrive as close to your check in time as you can, as all the spaces will be taken very quickly. The service was fast and the young lads running the hotel were informative about what time the breakfast was, the WiFi postcode and the menu for dinner. My room was a decent size for what I wanted it for, as I was travelling on my own and only stating for the 1 night, it suited me down to the ground. The bed was a 3 quarter, so loads of space to lounge about on. The bathroom was on the small side, but enough room to move around in. There was a little bit of black mould in the bathroom, I think this may be caused a fault in the extraction fan, as this was noisy when you turned the bathroom light on, the extractor fan turned on as well. And there was no one above me, as I was in the converted barn/shed, in the courtyard. The windows are single glazed, so be prepared to hear a bit of noise from the bar area, it does go quiet at midnight. Breakfast itself was not bad at all. There is a continental option to choose from and there is also a cooked breakfast, which is also included in the price of your room as well. Overall, not a bad little hotel, it's clean and tidy and the 2 young men who run the hotel are in the ball, when it comes to...

Have just returned from a long weekend stay. I asked for an easily accessible room as my wife has to have assistance with walking. On arrival Tony was extremely helpful and carried our bag back up the slope to our room which was right by the car park. Only one small step to access the very large room complete with double bed and settee with plenty of room to manoeuvre Also had our own secluded patio.. Clean sheets on the bed and clean towels laid out. The carpet was filthy so we had to keep our shoes on. The bathroom was also filthy, toothpaste on the tiles from previous occupants. The light fitting over the shower was hanging from the ceiling and the toilet cistern broken. General décor in the room very tired. Desperately needed redecorating. In the 3 nights we were there the waste bin in the bathroom was not emptied and the toilet roll not replaced. On the plus side location was excellent very very peaceful. Service was good, staff friendly and a very nice cooked breakfast each morning. Ate in the bar first night ( normal pub food.) If rooms were cleaned properly this would be an excellent...

Just returned from staying 3 nights at the Crown Hotel Blockley must say i was a little disappointed with this hotel . Having read the reviews before booking it looked a good find but once I arrived it was totally different all photos were nothing like the room I had . The first thing you have to do is to somehow try not to damage your car while driving through a very narrow gate opening cars parked on the other side does not help the car park is on top of a very narrow hill and not easy to park there . I requested a room with a shower only as one of the traveling party had mobility issues on arrival the way into the room there was some steps and once inside there are more steps to go into the bathroom and yes there was a bath with shower above not what I had asked for . The room was tired and needed a revamp as in plastering and painting windows are very old carpet had seen better days bed was hard and the TV was smaller than my computer screen . Choice of food not that great either . breakfast was good and all staff were very polite and smiling every time and...

Room 14 well where to start when we arrived all seemed okay member of staff on front desk showed us to are room but did not tell us about breakfast if it was included in our deal we got into are room and the photos on the wall where very old and quite horrible to look at net curtains had hole in and around the window area there was mold the pillows where dirty and yellow stained the the room smelt a bit musty and moving in to the bathroom the extractor fan was very dusty and the bathroom ceiling was also moldy on it and the noise from the pub downstairs was noisy but this was not until to late bout 10 pm breakfast wasn’t up to much wouldn’t pay for the breakfast that’s for sure but I think with some money doing this hotel up and some paint and new furniture and some more training to the staff it would make a lovely hotel as the location is beautiful and me and my partner took a walk through Brockley and what a lovely village .

friendliest hotel staff ever! they were very kind and helpful as we had lots of big bags with us. the biggest downside was the distance from the main part of moreton-in-marsh, aka where all the stores, restaurants, etc are. thankfully, the hotel had someone to drive us to that area.. for £50 including transport back. there are no ubers nearby so that was our only option. theres a restaurant inside of the hotel which was very convenient. the food was tasty. however, the room was very cold abd i couldnt find a way to increase the temperature. also the bathroom smelled like a dog. i did hear a constantly barking dog in the room next to mine, not the hotels fault but that could explain the smell. the internet and free wifi provided was also very slow. on the whole though, i really did enjoy my stay. rooms are charming, cosy, and spacious.

Crown Hotel in Blockley is an excellent choice for a stay in the Cotswolds. The hotel offers comfortable and stylish accommodation with a range of room types to choose from. The family room was delightful, with a semi-separate room for the kiddos The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that all of your needs are catered to during your stay, trying to make your stay more comfortable and enjoyable. I’m talking about the small details. The hotel's location in the heart of Blockley village is also a major draw, allowing guests easy access to the area's stunning countryside and picturesque architecture. Overall, I highly recommend the Crown Hotel for anyone looking for a memorable stay in the Cotswolds. Me and my wife plan to return to this charming hotel in the lovely village when next we are in the UK!
