Sweet Caribbean LTD — Restaurant in Coventry

The wife and I landed here and thoroughly pigged out on the stew chicken, curry goat and jerk chicken....luvvvvvvvlee. This is the kind of food u can eat til u vomit...u know uv eaten too much but u just can't stop. They were very busy at the time dealing with their online dessert orders but still managed to be attentive to us and unlike 99.9% of Jamaican restaurants😄 they were super polite and accommodating.

I'm assuming they're making a transition to a pre-dominantly dessert shop as there was no real advertising in the shop but theyr definitely missing a trick there cos the food is BANGING.

I love my yard food but this place let me down man. The wings were nice however the curry goat/mutton not so nice, the food tasted sooo watery and was very bland and there was next to no gravy probably partially because the tray the food came in was all covered in sauce & gravy from where it had leaked cos the boxes weren’t flat in the bag. Also very very stingy with the meat. I ordered from this restaurant earlier on Deliveroo.

Food was relatively tasty and came quicker than most other Caribbean restaurants in Coventry.

However, the portion was very small for the price even in Coventry. I ordered oxtail and rice and peas with steam veg as well as fried plantain.

Plantain was soggy by the time it arrived (forgivable). However, the ‘oxtail’ was more like a gravy, I didn’t get any meat and the steam veg was missing.
