I can't even explain the sh*t show that was this morning. Google opening times 10am, got there at 10:45 and doors were locked. Member of staff who was litter picking in car park saw me standing outside so approached and said she'd check with staff inside. They had "forgotten" to unlock the doors and I was told no breakfast until 11am? Why announce 10am opening to sit around for an hour with locked doors?? We entered and not one member of staff greeted us despite them standing at bar so we took a seat outside. At 11am I went in, again ignored, eventually a girl with dark hair in a winning the pooh Tshirt asked what I wanted...ERM service???...I asked if we could order food and was told they were doing breakfast for half hour then lunch from 11:30? Given the morning menu which states until noon so again that's incorrect. Went outside to choose then when I came back no staff in sight then the first lady approached again and had to find staff to serve me. When trying to order the member of staff, who isn't new, couldn't find anything on the tills so took a while to process. I asked for their bloomer bread on the menu, 2 slices and instead got served 2 lots (wasn't told one portion was 2 slices) and as shown in pics, definitely NOT bloomer bread. My friends scrambled egg looked questionable and £1 for 1 had brown as an extra? Customer service was absolutely shocking apart from the first lady who was actually helpful and friendly and had to not only unlock doors but then take our order when we were left standing at the bar. Bring back the grey haired man and shorter dark haired girl who actually paid attention to customers. Food pictured came to £13.

Visited for a late lunch, when we thought the restaurant would have been a bit quieter. It wasn't very busy but we were warned there would be a 30m wait for food, which we said was fine. I had to hunt around the whole restaurant for cutlery, eventually pinching some from another table (the male member of staff I asked ignored me). We avoided the mayonnaise which had clearly been sat in the sun all day and was warm and full of condensation. When our food arrived 45m later the £8 Chicken and Bacon salad consisted of 5 small lettuce leaves, one piece of bacon and 5 small chicken slices drowning in a vinegary sauce. I complained to the manager who told me they are only allowed to put what the company who runs it says they should. Which was a bit ineffectual for manager, I thought, but they did add a generous quantity of chicken (and more sauce unfortunately) to the dish. The burger and salad was lively, but was strangely served with a warm coleslaw which was inedible. This used to be a lovely place to visit in the summer as a local. But now it seems they are catering to the non-repeating visits from the airport and don't really care about quality or speed. The waitress with the blonde hair was brilliant and seemed to be the only person who had any clue what was going on. We won't be back again.

We visited today for a family meal and overall it was a decent experience, but with a few issues worth noting. Firstly, the website prominently advertises "dog friendly" which was one of the reasons we chose this pub. However, on arrival we were informed that dogs aren't usually allowed in the restaurant area. They did make an exception for us as our dog is small, but it would have been much better if this was made clearer on the website. The food was generally fine, but my daughter's pasta dish was very dry, with hardly any sauce on it, so we had to ask for some extra. Also, my vegan burger was supposed to come with onion rings and "rosemary sea salted skin-on fries" according to the menu, but it arrived with neither of these – the chips were just standard oven chips. On the plus side, the service was good and the pub itself is nice with a pleasant atmosphere and ample parking. We probably would visit again, but hopefully the kitchen will be more consistent and the website's description of the pub as "dog friendly" will be made more accurate. The meal was redeemed by the vegan cheesecake which I really appreciated, very few restaurants seem to have vegan desserts!

The visit started well with good drinks and appetizers. during the visit we were asked unnecessarily many times about things the waiter could ask us about all at once. We had ordered and later found out that they couldn't make the meal, and had to choose something else. I first chose chicken truffle mayo blt, but since they didn't have chicken, I wanted to replace the chicken with beef. Which I think is strange because someone else I ate with ordered Caesar salad and got chicken. A while after I ordered, I was first asked how the steak should be. Then we were told they had no fries and had to choose something else. When the food came we got french fries. When the food came only 3/4 got their food because the waiter didn't get the order with them. When I got my beef sandwich, it wasn't medium like I said it was well done snd dry. When the cesar salad arrived it contained anchos and the person who orderd it hates anchos, this was not on the menu and I think the anchos should be on the menu because not everyone likes it. I told the waiter that I wanted the chicken mayo truffle sandwitch replaced with beef, but when the food arrived I got dry beef with mayo, just plain mayo. When I asked the waiter for extra truffle mayo, I got regular mayo again. I know this because I never tasted the truffle flavor in it and I do not like regualt mayo. Couldn't the waiter have said you didn't have truffle mayo instead? finally on the receipt it said something that we had paid for a sirloin sandwitich or something. Not the chicken truffle mayo sandwich that I ordered. it means that I was served something different from what I ordered and expected. the waiters were very kind and tried their hardest and the forgotten main course came quickly afterwards. Thanks for me. Not...
