Ram Sports & Social Club — Restaurant in Crawley

Do not eat at this appalling place. The service from start to finish was disgusting. The waitress didnt have a clue about any of the dishes on the menu. When asking whether the poppadums were gluten free she had no idea what gluten even was. She just kept saying 'no they are not free they cost' and 'do you want spicy or plain'.

After booking over the phone they failed to mention that because we aren't club members on arrival we had to pay £1 per person to go inside. Then once seated we were ignored for ages and they failed to tell us that we had to order drinks at the bar separately.

Food was not great either which just made this whole experience poor.

Lastly, we were a group of ten and paying the bill was so much harder than it had to be. We all worked out how much we had to pay and paid that on card and money. We worked it out exactly. But as soon as we got up and started leaving we were called back by the waitresses and what looked like the managers who said we hadn't paid enough and still owed more money. They had calculators and it was so badly organised so we just gave the money and left. Will...

I have also worked in restaurants and service and food is most important thing when you go to any restaurant. Today I have arrange get to gather for our family event for around 20 people. We booked in advance more than week.

The restaurant doesn’t have draft coke or lemonade. So ordered mango Lassi but after one jug they runout. As coke and lemonade for skyrocket price in bottle form. We ordered starters @6:45 but not arrived until 8:00 pm. All cold and tasteless. We have ordered main in advance. Bit not arrived on time again cold and tasteless. Naan is completely cold and in rubber form. When we ask manager he is on holiday so no management role involve. All staff is rude and arrogant including bar staff even offering substitutes.

I am so embarrassed to arrange 20 person get to gather to this restaurant as they are not value for money and they even don’t care for our trade.

Completely ignore this restaurant if you having larger order or party as this restaurant is completely incompetent...

I've been a member of this social club for many years. I was out for a meal with friends and we thought we would give the Ram sports and social club a try, especially after all the bad press.

The food was not too bad, but the service is the worst in the world. I have travelled to many different countries and eatten in all kinds of eateries. Hands down this is the worst service I have ever experienced.

We finished our starters only to be advised that there is no mains available, which left us very disappointed and frustrated, but I am a long standing member the management spoke to the chef and arranged a few mains, once they arrived and we barely started eating where the waitress stood at the end of the table asking for payment! She stood there for 5 minutes and we were shocked that we hadn't finished and she was demanding payment!

The only advice I can give is dont visit this place, unless you want bad customer service.

It's not the staff's fault I blame the management, it's there fault for allowing this to happen.
