Pop Inn Cafe — Restaurant in Crawley

Portion sizes are absolutely giant here! Everything was cooked fresh and the staff were really lovely. The only cristism I have is that the veggie breakfast is described as veggie sausages, they aren't. They are potato based, alongside a veggie burger pattie which is the exact same thing, just a different shape. I chose to opt out of the egg and added bubble and squeak so I ended up with a very potato heavy breakfast as it had hash browns too haha! You can get frozen veggie sausages that keep for ages, (as I appreciate that there may not be much call for veggie sausages at a cafe) so if I was to offer any constructive cristism, it would be for them to invest in some nice veggie sausages to elevate their veggie offering, if they want too that is. That said, I was grateful they had anything at all and really pleased with the quality so I will go back, probably sooner if they switch the sausages! I understand it's father's day but when your told food wait is 40 mins but was there an hour and a half but 4 other people ordered after us and got their food who received food half an hour before us. had finished it before we even got ours. there were 5 of us. My daughter received hers 30 mins before us and had finished it before we even got ours. I visited at a time when there was absolutely no one else there, so the atmosphere of the place was quite unusually awkward. The food was excellent. The staff was nice and friendly. The restaurant was very neat and clean. I am tempted to subtract one star for lack of "life" during my morning visit (9:30 - 10am), from my subjective experience it wasn't quite the best breakfast experience ever, but I have to admit, the restaurant was superb and it's not their fault the customers are having a lie in on a Sunday morning.
