Deshi Spice — Restaurant in Dacorum

Firstly I would like to say that the food in this restaurant is delicious however, the customer service is appalling. I have eaten in the restaurant and when we did we were told that the 2 year old child with us was too loud and would have to be quiet or we’d have to leave.

We ordered a takeaway tonight and ordered 3 main meals. When the order arrived there was one missing from the order so I contacted the restaurant and was told that we didn’t order the curry and that if we want it we would have to wait an hour and pay for it again. When I said I didn’t think this was an acceptable solution the person I spoke to hung up the phone. I called back 10 minutes later to try and reason with them and was again hung up on. I tried to call back again and my number had been blocked. We are now without a meal for a 3 year old child and out of pocket as well. As I have said the food is delicious but I won’t ever go back here due to the arrogance and rudeness...

I found the food to be of good quality. In fact I wasn't blown away by amazing flavours, nor disappointed by any faults. It was almost unremarkable.

I came to Deshi Spice in a group of 22. They have a banquet deal on Tuesday nights which is good value and makes group dining easy.

The restaurant isn't very big and we were spilt over 4 tables. The seating area is split by a glass partition that penned us in. It wasn't easy to swap seats so was not ideal if your intention is to mingle with everyone. It has a modern design with good use of mirrors to give the illusion of space.

They could not offer me an alcohol free beer, which was disappointing, and below standard.

Service from the staff was very good. They were polite, attentive and coped well with the large orders from the group.

This is a nice restaurant which you should try...

Difficult to fault this Indian Restaurant. We were part of a party of 12 guests.

So it's understandable that from time of ordering, expect longer than usual for the meal to arrive.

What a superb meal, and everyone seemed as happy as me. Value for money was exception. At £16.00 for most combinations from the A La Carte. Starter, Main Course, Side vegetables and Nann Bread. So many choices of each course and more Nann Bread choices than I've ever seen before

This Restaurant is situated on Mark Road and although this is the Heart of the Industrial Estate, don't be put off. Street parking at night is straightforward.
