It's always a pleasure popping into the Rose & Crown for a few drinks, with a special shoutout to Gabriella whose welcoming smile, demeanour, and professional attitude never fail to elevate the experience. What truly stands out is Gabriella's commitment to going the extra mile. She doesn't just serve drinks; she creates an experience. Her knowledge of mixology is impressive, and her ability to recommend drinks based on individual tastes is spot-on. However, the highlight of the night is always, without a doubt, her Espresso Martini. Calling it perfect would be an understatement. The balance of flavours is always impeccable – a harmonious blend of rich coffee and smooth vodka, topped with a beautifully frothy crema. It's evident that she not only has a passion for her craft but also meticulous attention to detail. Each Espresso Martini is consistent in taste and presentation, a testament to her skill and dedication. Gabriella has an exceptional ability to manage the bar efficiently, even during busy periods, all while maintaining a friendly and approachable attitude. Her interactions with customers are always genuine and warm, which makes everyone feel welcomed and looked after. She’s a remarkable asset to the Rose & Crown. Her professionalism, skill, and extraordinary customer service greatly enhance the overall experience. I would highly recommend the Rose & Crown to anyone looking for a great atmosphere and, of course, the best Espresso Martini in town. Cheers to Gabriella for always making our visits warm and enjoyable.

Thoroughly enjoyed our dining experience at the newly refurbished Rose & Crown, I had never been before but my guest had and she was truly impressed with all the changes. To start with there is plenty of parking which is nice to not have to worry about on a evening out. When you arrived you are met and guided to either the bar area or straight to your table. The bar tender was very good at letting me try the wine before I committed as I was unsure with my choice. The food was on point, we both had all three courses and loved the food, quick service and a lovely stylish area to be able to catch up in. What I particularly like is that on the menu it's clear about the calories, they offer a mini dessert & coffee option which makes me feel included, as often I have to miss out. For full disclosure I did attend the Media night of the relaunch, but I have every intention of going back, it's a great location for me to catch up with girlfriends who live in the Hertfordshire area whilst I live in Buckinghamshire. Images uploaded are of my starter, Duck Parfait and my Main course which was the nourish bowl which I added king prawns and a side serving of green veg.

After a late tour of Harry Potter World and before a long drive back to Peterborough, it was necessary to eat dinner before the drive. A failed attempt to get food at the Unicorn meant we headed to the Rose and Crown instead. Joy, Joy, Joy. So glad we did, and on a cold wet night, what a difference. George, the young manager, empathised with our needs and set about getting us fed and watered and sat as close to the fire as he could. Being part of the same pub group as the Brampton Mill, the menu was familiar having ate at the Brampton earlier in the week (although hard to distinguish it as a pub chain). Food was consistently good, tasty and a good selection of craft beers, as well as the usual stable brands with a well stocked bar. All the staff were engaged and customer focused but George was the standout if i had to choose. The place was warm, cosy and inviting with different areas to dine or drink and kept immaculately clean. The whole meaning of Innkeeper, hospitality, traveller and customer service is exemplified here. A delightful and accidental highlight our trip.

We had a mixed experience in sunday. The roasts were very hit and miss. The roast pork was very good. The slow cooked part of the duo of beef was excellent but the slices of beef were a bit chewy at best and one friend's was pretty inedible as it was full of gristle. The naked burger we ordered came as a dirty burger and had to go back as our friend is intolerant to cheese, and this took a lot longer than we were told and we had finished our meals by the time his food came. However, the staff were lovely, and they took the burger off the bill and a further 20% for the delays. Could be really good but service needs to be less chaotic and they could do with a manager overseeing the while thing.

We had a great time there on new year's eve! The food could be better but the atmosphere was fantastic with very friendly staff...we enjoyed every minute of it.
