Dear owner,
Thanks for your response on the below review....I totally understand that you don’t allow non paying customers hence when I entered I asked your staff if I could order drinks and feed my baby & he was just rude and looked down on me. If he had said I had to order a meal I would have gladly ordered a meal for myself and the two other people who I was with....customer experience starts from the minute someone enters your premises not when they settle their bill in the end and on this occasion your staff has behaved in a way that has left a very bad experience for me and family who would have been your paying customer on the day and in the future. Also, please don’t comment on policy about other restaurants & premises as when I walked into the craft beer bar next door ...the owner who saw i was holding a very agitated infant offered me to come in ...where I and my family ordered drinks and will be going back for repeat custom. All it takes is a bit of humanity which your staff clearly lacks..
“Will never order from this restaurant although we were looking to add this to our Friday night takeaways..the guy at the reception has no sense of empathy and is utter rude. I walked in with my crying infant to ask if I could order some drinks and feed my baby just to calm him down as walking home would have taken me another 20 minutes...The guy at the reception looked down on me and said I couldn’t feed my baby there as it was a “restaurant” although he could clearly see I was holding a very agitated crying infant ...just shows the kind of heartless rude people who run the...

This is a restaurant that the family have used many times, but on this occasion, one of our party has Coeliac disease and it is critical he avoids food with gluten in it, so he rang the restaurant to check which dishes are gluten-free (as this is not indicated on the menu). He was met with a "can't be bothered" attitude and was eventually advised "only a stir-fry" was available to him. We did not feel assured that even this would be safe for him to eat, but no starters at all? And not even rice, or Hong Kong style sweet & sour?? We concluded that they do not know about important dietary requirements, and they do not know what their ingredients are. So we tried a different local Chinese restaurant, same query, and they said "If you like, we can do it all gluten-free" - and that's what we did. What a difference. And really nice food too. Have posted one star for Peking Garden but really it should be none because we went elsewhere, and will...
Read moreIt was a cold Friday night, and five pals opted for a quiet night in. Peking Garden in Edinburgh do not deliver to Dartford, but luky for us there was this place.
After perusing the menu, we were disappointed to not find honey chicken on the menu. However all the firm favourites were available. Service on the telephone was acceptable.
58 minutes later, we were quivering with exctiement when "Ding Dong" the food arrived, warm and recyclably packaged.
Upon opening our foil chests, we found the correct delivery, including an extra bonus of prawn crackers. They were very colourful.
The food was standard, with some spicy dishes providing excitement, however on the whole it was a standard chinese. Nothing stood out, nothing was awful (apart from...
