I don’t usually write reviews but felt the need to amongst these poor reviews! My partner and I had a great lunch here, really quiet and clean not like I’ve seen in other reviews. I thought it was good value for money, £10.50 for the pictured jacket potato, although I will agree the sandwiches looked very pricey for what they were. The ladies working were really lovely and friendly to us also!

Tasty food and friendly service from the staff. Had hot drinks and cakes which were reasonably priced for the venue, but pricier than the typical chain coffee shop. Managed to get a nice table next to a Christmas tree. Cakes and hot chocolate were delicious. Tables weren't being cleared very quickly, although worth noting it was very busy. Will definitely return.

Went for a walk around the estate and popped into the cafe after. Good selection of meals, snacks and hot and cold drinks. I had an excellent cream tea at a reasonable price.

OK but not great. Food is pricey and the choice is very limited. The hot food was tasty but pretty basic, the sandwiches were on nice bread but lacked flavour - neither were worth the inflated price tag. Kids bags are very expensive for what they are. Staff on the servery were pleasant but we basically got bustled out by someone who came to clear our table before we had completely finished despite at least a quarter of the tables being empty (could almost have understood if people had been waiting for tables, but they weren't). Very unprofessional end to an indifferent experience. Really needs to improve to step up to the rear of the...

Generally a good selection of fresh hot/cold food and cakes. However, unless you wanted a hot meal, the gluten free options were limited to pre-packed sandwiches and pre-packed cakes which was disappointing, particularly so as it was a cold and wet day. Surely one GF hot main course could be included on the daily menu, as even a limited choice is better than no choice at all. When we visited Chatsworth Farm Shop on the way home they sold delicious GF Bakewell tarts and GF Bakewell pies, which was a very welcome change from the omnipresent GF brownie and flapjack. Perhaps they too could be added to the...

Disappointed to find that the cafe was closed despite opening times online suggesting it was open until 5pm. As a result, we purchased a hot chocolate from the outdoor stand. Extortionately overpriced for what you can essentially make at home and bring in your own flask and the drink was served with spillage all round the cup! We were hoping for a lovely seated hot drink and cake with our little one, it being his first visit to Chatsworth. Agree with other recent reviews, unfortunate as the grounds are beautiful. A visit to the tea rooms at Edensor, on the other hand, are well...
