Flying Childers — Restaurant in Doncaster

We were looking for somewhere to celebrate a family birthday for 8 of us plus two young children, and wanted somewhere we could all drive a similar distance to, hence we found the Flying Childers. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, from booking on the phone, serving at the bar and delivering food to the table. Nothing was too much trouble. We were advised to pre order the food as we were a large group which we did. They asked if we'd like the child's meal served along with the starters (which worked out very well for a slow eater), sorted out candles on the birthday cake we had brought with us and loaned us a knife to cut the cake. Perfect Cosy warm ambience and friendly atmosphere. A local pub for anybody and anybody. Great for families, couples and singles. Your made to feel welcome by staff and customers. The food is Second to none. The Manager, under managers and staff can’t do enough to make your visit the best. We started coming here when the great Marsden's family pub chain took over and we are never disappointed. The staff care and the premisses is spotless too. Weve gone through the whole menu by now and everything is first class. We cant wait to book for the Christmas menu as we know we will be in for a treat plus the prices are so cheap for the quality of the food. Were always stuffed when we finish eating and wouldn't go anywhere else now as this pub is in a class of its own. It was busy, the staff were polite and helpful and we were quickly served with our drinks after giving our food order. We waited a while for the food but we did not mind as it was a good atmosphere and it showed we were not been given microwaved food. All 4 meals arrived together and we were offered, and brought, sauces even though they were available for diners to help themselves. Nobody left anything, which is unusual as 2 of us had mixed grills, (mine was a 'Mega') and everything was cooked as we asked, mine medium and the other well done, so I expected something not up to standard, however, the quality of produce used was first rate and obviously prepared by very capable and experienced kitchen staff.
