When we first walked in it smelt unclean , the server greeted us and told us your just intime were about to close there is not much left, ( we were early).. maybe we should of has a call to cancell our booking??? Against our better judgment we stayed.. the food was terrible ,roast potatoes cut into spheres and runny mash not to mention anything else, then had to ask for drinks half way through our meal by our server , she brought a full dish ov mint sauce to the table which was sooo runny we couldn't use it, later cos we left a large amount of food we said for kids to have puddings, we waited over 20 minutes and then had to search for the server, when attempting to pay the guy then put the discount on wrong so wouldn't accept the food discount, il not go Into it all but our server was a lyer and the manager on shift was a disgrace to the business, shouting at customers and refusing to give her name as she was rolling her eyes and speaking to myself my daughter and two autistic children in a terrible manner, My husband went to car for my phone so I asked for her name so i could leave and deal with it tomorrow she then raised her voice and said " what you ginna do about it" I don't know if she was expecting us to walk out or what!! my husband came back In and heard her vile attitude and he said " you what love?!" she said " what's it got to do with you" she must of thought he wasn't with us , he then raised his voice and told her to not ever speak to his family the way she was , we went to the toilet when leaving and there was 4 flies in one cubicle... avoid this place!!! ... the manager this evening most definitely needs to go back on the managers course because she has no idea what she is doing never mind her shocking customer service No doubt this review will be removed but._The server was a lyer Maybe check cctv n the truth Is there. Shoutig ay customers thrn walk off leavng them stood therewithout any indication whqt to go make a drink for herself,were all now say laughing and if there was a reward for the most useless manager she had out vote!! Also the manger told us to get a code from another worker at another store and said I'm not supposed to do this then carried on treating us terrible!! Seems she makes her own rules.. we were regular customers but won't be returning!! I've only put 1 star because I can do a minus.

The young thin girls with long dark hair and the young blonde girl who usually serves us is a credit to the business

Not the large long hair lady who served us this evening, I would never of added her to this review let alone make a review until she lied to Impress the boss, as there's no other explanation as to why she would lie about things,...

Horrendous..booked in for 5.20pm despite waiting in line to be seated and book in.. others who went before their time slot were seated first! We were dismissed and told they got there first, even though they weren't booked in until 5.30pm. There was a wake taking place so we were offered a table where the wake was. We politely suggested we'd rather wait for another table.. we were left fir 40 minutes until seated. The table (booth) next to us were complaining about the food, so already was feeling concerned! I suggested my partner go first whilst I sat with our belongings. He came back with the only edible food he dare get. The plate was cold, the servery was disgusting (aware there is usually spills etc.. but this was another level, all spoons were so mushed with food there was barely room to pick any food up, the meat was disgusting undercooked or completely dry, only thing edible were the Yorkshire puddings, even the gravy had lumps and food floating in it. Whilst I completely appreciate how busy they were, I don't understand why they would take bookings if there are not enough seats or staff to manage. Brad Hall was shift manager and nodded and suggested he was about to check the servery area and advised we didn't have to pay, we hadn't touched any food at this point but had nothing to offer in terms of how l9ng we had waited to be seated, weren't offered to get a drink or sit elsewhere whilst waiting, altogether the worse Toby I havd EVER been to. Would always go to Edenthorpe and just sorry no bookings available this evening. There are clearly several other issues which are written in the reviews and Toby reply apologising suggesting it will be looked into yet nothing seems to happen. This visit cost us an hour and 20 minutes round trip and 2 hours we won't get back and still need food! Beyond annoyed and disappointed will...

Despite not having great service here last time we went, we decided to give it another try tonight. We were a party of 9, including a 2 and 4 year old. We placed orders for the 2 children's meal (sausage for one, chicken dippers for the other) . The selection n quality of meat was good, but the vegetables were not so good...and sadly the delicious vegetable au gratin that we had eaten there previously had been replaced with macaroni cheese. On returning to the table the children's meals had not arrived. We waited a few more minutes before enquiring about their food n were told it wouldn't be long. The girls were hungry n restless by this time and I had to enquire again...This time the garlic bread they'd ordered was hurriedly brought out. I asked about the actual meals and was told we could get the childs sausage meal at the carvery area. Why were we not told this when ordering it ? She could have been eating her dinner instead of getting more n more restless n wanting to run around bcos she was bored n tired of waiting. I asked about the chicken nugget meal....and was told it would be there soon. It was chicken nuggets, people. Come on. Its not like we had ordered anything difficult to prepare and cook. Not once did anyone come to check if we needed anything, or if it was satisfactory ( which it wasnt ) We will not be going there again. It's a shame. It could be a lovely family restaurant... but they don't really cater for young children....they don't even have child sized cutlery, the children had to try n manage to eat their food with oversized forks and spoons and there was very little to choose from food wise. I Know its a carvery but not every child likes meat and vegetables . In future we will go to the House Martin, which, along with its carvery, offers a wide selection of other meals including child...
