Little Bawtry's — Restaurant in Doncaster

The bar staff are lovely but unfortunately the chef and their waiters are just rude! We walked in and sat down, there was no reserve sign on the table we chose. The waitress snapped at us asking if we’ve booked a table, when we replied no the chef screamed saying food would be AT LEAST an hour. We said that’s fine we will wait. He then went on cursing saying he has no staff and was terribly rude.

I understand if you’re short staffed, but manners and politeness costs nothing! We ordered our food and then our parents decided what they wanted so I ask the waitress if they could order theirs now, and they refused their order and said it would be another hour after our food had arrived.

We will not visit here...

Went for breakfast, staff were exceptionally friendly and professional. Unfortunately the only things little about little bawtry's are the portions and the quality. The tea and coffee was tepid, the eggs were half cooked with the whites not properly set. The bacon and sausage were barely warm. We were waiting almost an hour before we got our food. Lovely bar/ restaurant full of character. Nice friendly and attentive staff. The Sunday carvery is delicious, huge Yorkshire pudding, good selection of seasonal vegetables, roast and mash potato, the beef and pork melt in your mouth and full of flavour, gammon was also being served, however I didn't try it.
