Pretty average. Service was great (take away) but the food itself was a real disappointment. We ordered a takeaway on Boxing Day and maybe the restaurant was short on supplies, staff or time or all of the above but the outcome was some pretty average food. Starters: Samosas - A joke! Two tiny (think party size) pastry pockets which looked very much like they were out of a bag from the freezer isle. Chicken Tika - Small serving, just on the boarder line of an acceptable portion but pretty tasteless (and oddly colourless). Mains were better but nothing to write home about. Each portion served x1 person with no leftovers. All in all - average. We’re unlikely to bother ordering from here again but others we know have (apparently) had nice food so …..

My wife and I stopped for dinner at Mehfil Indian Brasserie for dinner on a long drive home from Leeds. Interior was okay (although the carpets could do with a good clean) and the menu was typical of what you'd expect in a good Indian restaurant. We had poppadoms and pickles and one portion of Onion Bhaji's, which were good. The Chicken Curries and Saga Paneer we had for our main dish were pretty good as well. I had diet coke to drink and it was flat. I got it changed and it was still flat so just left it. Price was average at £55 for the two of us. Not the best Indian food we've ever had by a long way but it was certainly better than average.

The food was lovely as stated by everyone in the party, however my rogan josh was very bland, just a creamy tomato flavour with no spice at all. Everything else we ordered was of high quality standard. Staff were attentive and friendly. Giving three stars as the interior seriously needs a revamp or at least a deep clean. We arrived and found stains on the table cloths and napkins. We then later found what I assume to be splattered food stains all over the walls next to the table which wasn't very pleasant. It doesn't take much to clean the walls but it could really do with a lick of paint.

I don't like to leave negative reviews for a local business that IV always supported however after last night I will never use them again.

I waited 1 hour 25 minutes for warm bland food.

Ordered a takeaway and was told it will be ready to collect in 45 minutes. Arrived on time to collect, the older man at the bar / reception couldn't seem to find my order but didn't say anything to me just messed about with tickets.

After 30 mins now stood at the bar waiting, I asked if it would be much longer, for them to finally check with the kitchen to then say 5 more minutes.

In total I waited 45 minutes then stood slightly embarrassed in a restaurant full of people for an extra 40 minutes.

At no point did anyone acknowledge me or the fact they hadn't done my order, didn't mention I would be waiting a while, then didn't seem to rush my food as other orders where being done before mine when no-one was even there to collect them yet

Shocking of all, not one person apologised, even after complaining.

I understand things happen, but the lack of customers service is astonishing and...

Awesome food if you prefer taste over heat. You will find hot dishes here but they are quite obvious on the menu. Most of the lamb dishes can be recommended as their meat is very tender. Take out available but no delivery service which is a shame.

Our usuals are: Prawn puree starter. Tikka Makannwala - Sweet tasting curry. Gosht Pata - Amazing lamb dish, got to be a Mehfil Special. Also known as Gusht! King Prawn Dansak - Like a sweet and sour chickpea prawn curry. Sag paneer side and onion bhajis.

The staff are all accommodating and will offer to tailor food to your needs - I prefer the Chilli coriander naan without the chilli and this is...
