I was told Juliets Farm was very good. My own opinion on the food was really not good at all. I understood the wait as it was very busy, but when the food came out it was over cooked. The bacon was very well done, the mushrooms were very mushy, the hash browns were deep fried, well that's how they tasted. One of our group had a wrap, that was just pure mush. My husband wanted to replace tomatoes, as he doesn't like them for black pudding, that put another £1.50 on top of the price of the breakfast. Most things you would expect in a full English breakfast, you had to pay extra for. I don't think the food or the drinks were reasonably priced. It was rather pricey.
When I went up to pay my bill. I can only suppose it was the Male owner of the Juliets Farm who was at the till, had words with one of his young staff, who walked out the back crying, then Juliet came to him and asked if he would like her to take over the till, he abruptly replied to her No, I have done it now. In my mind he should never have done that in front of his customers. I'm afraid I will not...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreVisited here on request from a work colleague about how this was the place to eat. I couldnāt see the appeal myself. First off it was very busy with people who donāt normally mix with commoners so we only just got a table inside and the booth seating wasnāt that comfortable. Secondly the price is somewhat higher than it could be, breakfast doesnāt include a tea or coffee which I thought was unfair however like I said earlier there were a lot of higher class people there that day so the price was non existent. I donāt want to feel like I am picky but the food wasnāt that great either but it was fresh and not doubled deep fried like other places. Plenty of seating however it was very busy and reservations are a good idea. Plenty of parking too, wheelchair accessible too so no worries there and child friendly. Thereās a farm shop there too so if you got at least a score in your pocket your be...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI have visited Julietās on numerous occasions and it is always a great pleasure. Juliet and Richard are so friendly and welcoming but then, so are all the staff without exception. And the food is always excellent and then you can do your shopping on the way out! Last year for a special birthday celebration for my husband Julietās arranged an evening meal for about forty people . We met up beforehand and discussed various options for food - your suggestions were far better than mine - and we were permitted to decorate the room AND they sorted out the music! The place looked utterly charming with low lights and candlelight and the food was great - everyone said so - ( and I was delighted to be able to take home left over lasagne and banoffee pie). The only problem is they are so popular that you may need to book . Thank you so much guys - wishing you all the best in these...
