We had a great evening at the Cobham Arms on Saturday, there were a group of us celebrating a number of our friends birthdays and we were made to feel very welcome by Danni & Mark who have recently took it over apparently... it's a lovely big cosy pub with a separate bar area, a big lounge area where the food is served, and nice grounds for when the weather is better. I noticed it was dog friendly too which will suit dog owners. The bar area has plenty of seating & has a pool table, darts board etc... as well, plenty to keep you entertained! The food was good quality with generous portions, & reasonably priced. Despite it being busy we didn't have to wait to be served drinks at any stage all night either which was great, nothing worse than spending all your time in a queue at the bar. If you're in the area give it a try, you'll not be disappointed, we really enjoyed it & we'll certainly be back when we're over that way again. Thanks for a...
Read moreAttended reception after a funeral nearby and was really impressed with this pub. We call to arrange an event and staff member reassured us there were three areas for dining and outside if the weather was good. Because we weren’t sure of numbers we turned up and easily found an area even though the pub was busier than expected and as the weather was beautiful we hovered inside and outside. I had a veggie burger which was highly recommended by other guests and it was made from cauliflower and very tasty as were the fries. Those that ordered fish & chips were very impressed with the portion sizes and quality of the fish. The staff were friendly, professional and helpful and the prices were reasonable. The loos were clean and the atmosphere really nice. Unfortunately I was enjoying myself so much I didn’t take photos but this is a great venue for receptions after funerals at...
Read moreVisited twice an first time had a meal with a family member and the meal I have to say wasn't nice cheese burger and chips salad. The burger. Was really thick and under cooked pink. In the middle. The chips was full of fat to oilie the bread was stuck to the cheese not very good but I guess that's why it's a fiver we only had half of it and left didn't complain as didn't want to make a big deal the second time was served. A bottle of fizz and half of it over spil out when asked to change it the bar person didn't seem to happy about it this pub OK for a quick drink it don't have that feeling you want to stay longer then a few pints it's a shame it could be a good pub with the right staff and a good eye for how food should look and taste pull the people in by giving drinkers what they what in a pub hope you do well and take on board what...
