Hadcroft — Restaurant in Dudley

Never been before, wake was being held here. It was ok! Warm and inviting staff although the decor was dark and a little worn, I think with a quick spruce up with lighter fabrics n flooring, all of which could be done quite cost effectively, it could have a different more modern feel to it. It was quite busy n the meals that were being served looked and smelt nice. Hubby and I usually try and find somewhere for a drink on a Friday whilst our daughter is at dance, we will be giving it a go next week (busy this!) Ample parking with a few disabled spots. There are a few stairs to the main entrance but if you go round the side (nearest to the main road as you enter the car park) there is a wheelchair friendly entrance. Reserved a table. When we got there, we just got told where the table was, not shown. Got drinks at the bar then had to wait 20 minutes for someone to come and take our order. Food came quite quickly after ordering. We had the sunday, Wellington. and a steak & ale pie. The Wellington was mainly pastry with a sloppy almost non existant filling with roast potatoes that tasted like they were a few days old & tough. The Yorkshire pudding, if I can call it that, was more like a flat, rubbery disc! The pie was just the same as a chip shop pie! Went to pay at the bar & customer service is not their speciality! Been here a few times now and typically have a lovely meal. However this time was awful. Booked weeks in advance for a table of 10 only to be squashed onto 3 small round tables. Four orders were wrong. Server rolled her eyes at us when we explained that the orders were wrong. Had to wait ages for one meal to be brought out so almost all of the party had finished eating. Turkey on the Sunday roast was fatty and inedible. Other roasts were missing things like stuffing and certain types of veg.
