Very negative experience. Sat down with friends to have a drink on a Wednesday evening, only to have the table next to us scream and shout intermittently. After a while and once the volume had gotten so loud that we couldn’t hear each other talk, I politely went over and asked for them to keep the noise down just a bit - just as I would expect other customers to say the same to me should the situation be reversed. When I later went to the bar, I was denied service until I apologised to the group for asking them to keep the noise down. The bar staff were unfriendly and upfront, and would not allow me to explain that I had meant no offence. I felt as though I was being talked down to, as though I was lesser-than, and that I was not given the same standard of respect as other guests. Worse still, there was clear bias in favour of those who knew the bar staff, making this pub feel unwelcoming and hostile to non-regulars. As a part of a wider company, and therefore not locally run, I expected that all visitors would be treated equally, regardless of whether they were regular or not. Overall my experience in this place was unnescessarily unpleasant, and bar staff would do well to be re-educated in how to respectfully talk to...

We went here @12 months ago ..The food was lovely so we decided to go again for our daughter's birthday..What a real bad decision 😡😡.The starters came out burnt .Just when you thought it couldn't get worse ..IT DID..The main courses had Salad thrown on the plates that were all Black and mouldy and the Lasagne looked like a white lump of greasy mess..The food was disgusting..The menu clearly says Home Made ..Which when Questioned the manager..An arrogant Rude woman said we have no control on food as it's brought in..I Don't know who's idea it was to put her in charge of the pub but trust me you've made a big mistake she needs retraining in her manners and how to gain customers not lose them with her vile attitude..Well on that note if you want food poisoning and a hefty £60 bill for Christmas this is definitely the place to go ..I can reassure you we won't visit here again until the management Staff are booted out and real HomeMade food is served..The menu is Full of lies as the only thing home made was the grease and mouldy salad ...😡😡😡😡😡 If I could give --stars you would definitely be awarded ten out of ten for ruining a nice local pub with your I don't...

Me and my family went here to celebrate a birthday and oh my god never been served with such diabolical food, the chips and curly fries were dry and drizzled up the peas were dry the steak wasnt cooked to the way we ordered the fried eggs were burnt and stiff as a board that I actually picked it up and it didn't move I ask for another egg and the barman said, just put it in my hand and I will get you another the fish was dry and overcooked. After 40 minutes after we ordered they came to us and said there wasnt enough scampi for the amount we ordered so some of us ordered different meals, one member of our family got just 3 pieces of scampi the rest of the scampi served to the others was dried up and no scampi in the batter. My grandsons fish fingers well if you can call them that were hard as a rock and all dried up, we felt as we complained all might about the food we only stayed for dessert due to promising the children ice cream, we will be never...
