First time at this restaurant as heard it’s the best around. On arrival it was obvious the place is popular, it was full and I mean full and very loud. We were seated straight away on the smallest round table now if you are a regular to any Indian restaurant you’ll now everything comes out on separate plates , with this in mind we had to remove the lamp from the table just to accommodate the poppadoms and sauces. We felt rushed to order as the waiter kept asking are you ready to order, we ordered a special curry and a sizzler two naan breads and chips!! Where is all this food going ? Food came out very quickly looked good , the sizzler came out but the waiter put it on a plate, why? Also put a special naan on top of plain naan which is fine for us but some may not like that. Waiters were constantly walking past and knocking onto you as the tables are so close together. Food was very nice no faults there but the restaurant lacks ambience.

My and the family's "go to" restaurant for an "Indian" meal and it has never failed us. It's been nicely refurbished during the lock down and is always clean and tidy. My take away meals seem to vary depending on the meal or day etc. My preferences are the lime pot and the pathia with spinach, as far as I am concerned they are the best in the area. It can get very busy at the weekend which means that it could also get a bit loud, in which case you can forget about having a romantic night out. Great service from the friendly staff who are always willing to help. Parking available at the rear, licensed but you can take your own alcohol.

My favourite Indian restaurant in this area by a mile. My advice is book if you want a table on a weekend but you are usually okay to walk in during the week. The service has always been exceptionally friendly on all of my visits and nothing seems to be a problem, even when the place is full. You can take your own drinks if you wish, asda over the road is very useful for that, or they sell a range of drinks eg Cobra at £3.90 a pint. Poppadoms and sauces are a must. I regularly have a chilli paneer starter that is bursting with hot flavour and then a lamb madras, egg fried rice and a keema naan. I'm very much a creature of habit and the meal has always been full of flavour and I have never had any fatty pieces of meat. They do sell puddings but I am usually fit to burst by then so never had one. Everyone does get a little shot of a baileys or a brandy at the end of the meal which is a nice touch. I recommend a look at the Web site for their menu, they also do take away and deliveries. Usually for two people, taking our own drink it is about £36 - £38 including a coffee at the end of the meal for my wife. As I said earlier I'm a creature of comfort and I stick to a couple of Indian restaurants and will do until I have a poor experience and then move on. There is parking available at the front of the restaurant and also lots of local roads where you can park. Check on Google maps before you go as you can access the restaurant from both ends so it is easy to find. Can't wait to...

We booked a table for five at Lime to celebrate our sister's 75th birthday. I arrived a little early with table decorations and a cake. The restaurant was very busy but I was helped immediately and the cake taken into the kitchen. I was also offered a drink while I waited for the rest of our party. Orders for drinks and poppadoms were taken immediately. Staff enquired who was the birthday girl' and offered good wishes; she was also offered a complimentary drink of her choice which was really nice. Our food orders were taken efficiently and soon everything was served simultaneously. Food was piping hot, plentiful and the sight and aromas were mouth watering. Our meals were delicious, the staff were attentive and efficient, the birthday cake arrived with the 'roman candle' lit and sparkling. Other diners and staff joined in the birthday wishes and applause, it made a lovely party atmosphere. We would all highly recommend Lime but suggest that you book in advance, we were there on a Friday night and it was very busy. The carpark at the back of the restaurant was also very busy with little room to turn around when full. There is a small car park next door which although belongs to a different premises, when the business is closed in an evening then it is accessible as an overflow parking facility. Thank you Lime for helping to make our celebration...

This is my and the family's "go to" restaurant for an "Indian". We have been coming here since it opened and have never had a bad experience to date. Indeed it's a place I have been known to recommend which elsewhere could be a risky thing to do. It was nicely refurbished during the lockdown plus they continue to make small changes to keep it fresh looking, and it is always very clean and well presented. The staff are consistently friendly, helpful and attentive without being intrusive. I note that most of them have been there from the start. My preferences are for their more flavoursome dishes such as the lime pot, chilli garlic but occasionally a pathia with spinach. As far as I am concerned it's one of the best the best in the area. However being popular means it can get very busy towards the weekend, and consequently it could get a bit loud. At such times I suggest you can forget about having a romantic night out. Their choice of music is also 'questionable' at times. The service is timely and even when it's full I have never had to wait too long to be served or between courses. It licensed but you can take your own alcohol which keeps the bill down that said it is not the cheapest around but the quality is there and the portions are generous. Parking is available at the rear, which can occasionally get full but other spaces are...
