I’m an Uber driver, and I’ve had repeated bad experiences at this McDonald’s location—but what happened recently was unacceptable.
I came to pick up two orders. The first one was handed to me after about 2–3 minutes, but I had to wait nearly 20 more minutes for the second one. Meanwhile, the first order was just sitting there, getting cold. This kind of delay doesn’t just happen once in a while—it’s almost a daily issue here. Most of the other delivery drivers I speak with are just as frustrated.
I asked the staff member, Freddy (he wears glasses), how much longer it would take, and his response was incredibly rude: “What can I do?”—with no explanation, no courtesy, just attitude. A nearby security guard was watching and even agreed that Freddy was being unprofessional.
When they finally gave me the second order, Freddy didn’t even hand it over properly—he threw it at me. Again, the security guard witnessed this.
I tried to explain that the first order was now cold, and when we drivers deliver cold food, the customers blame us—but what are we supposed to do? We can’t keep explaining every time. We’re just trying to do our jobs, and it feels like we’re constantly being disrespected here.
I know McDonald’s is a huge company and may not prioritize driver concerns, but I really hope a manager reads this. Please talk to your staff and remind them to treat delivery drivers with basic respect and professionalism. We’re part of the same system, and this kind of treatment...
Read moreOrdered from this mcdonalds with uber eats. Food came and most was missing (20 nuggets 3 different burgers and cheese melts). Rang the branch, took around 15 minutes for them to answer and the lady was rude and just said she couldn't resolve and to contact uber. I called the driver who said he'd been back to branch and they'd given him the bag of food they'd forgot to give him and he was already on his way. He came with the rest of our food 5 minutes later. It was stone cold. And so was the original food they'd delivered. Rang the branch back and they said take it up with uber and hung up on me. So they basically forgot to give the driver a whole bag of our food then when driver went back they gave him the cold bag of food to redeliver to us, knowing it would be cold and that we were already unhappy. My husband drove to the branch and asked for them to redo our food as it was all cold. She refused as he didn't take the cold food with him to give back to them and then told him to leave or she'd call the police. He didn't go back as why should he have to drive to mcdonalds twice for food we'd paid to have delivered! Reported to uber who only refunded the missing food! Order cost £35 got £15 refunded and paid £20 for stone cold food! Really not happy! Would have given 0...
Read moreWe rocked up next door at the Premier Inn around 7ish. Having not eaten, wanting quick n easy we nipped over to Maccys. Hubby and I rarely go to maccys nowadays. 1) No little kids pleading to go. 2) Our local maccys, 3 of, the food is pretty diabolical. Last went 4/5 years ago, service was slow, food was barely luke warm. So I was not expecting much...... Didn't realise we were stepping into a time machine back to the 80s..... Food was hot, having to do the didn’t realise puffing air out hot. Burnt fingers hot. If ya git wee ones, telling them to wait hot. The chocolate milkshake.....thick, almost passing out trying to get it up the straw thick. Certainly the awful paper straws are no match, wished I had a spoon thick. And it tasted like chocolate. The coke was a good passable flavour, never been a fan of pump coke. So thank you Maccys Kingswinford, for the trip back in time to when all McDonald's served edible food. Were turned the night after a wedding reception, everything was equally as good, so wasn't a fluke the first night. Security guard seemed surprised that someone acknowledged his existence and had a friendly conversation with him. Police,...
