New Kowloon House — Restaurant in Dudley

Ordered for the first time tonight, decided on delivery rather than collection. Ordered duck spring rolls, salt and pepper chips, chicken/beef curry with egg fried rice and Singapore chowmein. These are our usual choices ( not usually all in one order!!) but we thought it was worth it to try out. The duck spring rolls were amazing with the dip. The Singapore chowmein was very nice with lots of ingredients prawns, chicken, pork etc as it should be ( not overly spicy but very tasty indeed ( we'll just add a "hotter" request to the next order no doubt, but thats just us). The curry was nice with decent amounts of both chicken and beef and onion, egg fried rice was fine as expected and salt and pepper chips were SUPERB! With bits of sliced chillies they were SO tasty. It's the 1st time I've had those, but will definitely be adding that to the next order in place of regular chips. Ordered online and were quoted 60 mins, but arrived fresh and piping hot in 30 mins which was great and delivered by a lovely friendly lady. Totally satisfied and will be ordering...

First time trying this takeaway, if it was only possible to give negative stars I would. Waited a hour and a half for our food only for it to arrive looking and tasting like it had been cooked sometime earlier in the afternoon. The ribs looked like someone had wrapped jerky around a dog treat (the ones that had meat on that is), the chips could have been used as nails they were that hard and the processed chicken in the curry was as bland and tasteless as the sauce. Only thing that was ok was the prawn crackers.

It's very rare I write negative reviews as I usually find some redeeming qualities, but I struggled with this place. I'll pay them for their time but they'll never see another...

So glad i found this place i used to use Golden City when i moved to woodsetton, let's get the not so good points out of the way, but i'm sure they will make it better, ordered a beef curry egg fried rice once, beef tiny amount rice over cooked, Now for the good bits sirloin steak and chips bang on asked for thicker gravy next time and this has continued everytime i order and the size of the steak is big proper value for money, friendly staff on the phone and the same for the delivery drivers, food always comes hot and very quick would recommend these...
