You order food from the app, we are a group that attends to celebrate birthdays and all our order came out correct, no complaints about any of the food at ll up until 14/11/19. We placed our order via the app orders were coming out of the kitchen but nothing of our order we had to chase starters after 30 minutes of waiting we then waited almost another 60 minutes for mains and again had to ask staff where they were. All 7 of our mains came out cold, 3 steak meals mixed up so individuals had incorrect steaks, by the time 20:00-20:30 we were all too hungry and others couldn't be bothered to wait again has we had a member of our party due on night shift but she commented that her fish was so cold and asked if it had just come out of the sea? my steak I returned as I couldn't eat it. Desserts again after 15-25 minutes hubby again had to ask if these could be bought out treacle sponge pudding arrived hot with stone cold custard??. if there had been time and everyone not so hungry all the main meals would have been returned for a full refund. I dont think any of the food being cold was down to the chef as my freshly cooked steak was lovely and we the party believe staff on the floor had simply left us up the corner and continually forgot about us and wasnt as friendly with the group last night. Yes we received a free round of drinks from the manager and a replacement steak and dessert however I think the manager needs to call a meeting with the staff to find out what went wrong on this occasion has when we had waited so long for food we were expecting to receive freshly cooked meals and this will have an impact on if we ever return again and we still believe the person that paid the bill should be provided a...

Went in for a special meal & was highly disappointed to say the least!! Two of my party ordered the Steak & ale pie with chips & peas & I ordered the mega mixed grill. The pies were ok as were the chips, but the peas were cold on both of those meals. My mega mixed grill was a disaster. Both the sausages were only barely cooked on one side, with the other side totally raw!! The chicken breasts were just, & I only say “just” cooked, 1 along with the sausages had to be sent back. The steak I ordered rare was cooked ok, but was very cold as were my peas!! The steak was very small & consisted mostly of gristle. I was offered a replacement meal, but that would have meant waiting longer ( already waited 35/40) and eating whilst the other members of my party waiting on me, not ideal. The waitress was apologetic as was the barmaid & I only got charged for to two meals the other party ate (min requirement in my opinion).. the barmaid also omitted the cost of the round of drinks (3pints). The chef ( I used that term lightly) needs a lesson on how to prepare meals that are cooked & ready to serve when hot, as it’s completely obvious that certain parts of the meals were plated and had sat waiting for the other components of the meal to be prepared, I would say cooked, but that’s an incorrect term as most of the meal wasn’t. I would not recommend eating here at all, as the meal was a wright off!! I went home & had to satisfy myself with a sandwich. I'm leaving this review feeling rather disappointed. Never had a problem like this before as iv always been satisfied with the meals and service but today has really let themselves down. My partner and family had lunch and drinks which were served by a gentleman that had absolutely no customer service skills whatsoever.... I agree we get hot and bothered at times but the sweat dripping from him was not very inviting as he's serving drinks, and to be honest I felt more of a hindrance to him than an actual customer. The meals were nice but one came with sauce when I specifically asked to not put it on, normally I would politely ask if I could have it without the sauce as asked but I didn't want to "Put him out ". The service from waitresses was great as always but to be served by someone like that wasn't nice at all. I know imnsounding rather harsh but come on guys... please make sure they are clean looking, customer service trained and service with a smile. It hasn't put me off returning as all other times iv been 100% happy but today was the worst. If your staff clearly don't want to be there then let someone that does.... sweat dripping unwelcoming staff that looked like he wanted to murder us than serve has let you down badly to the point I was put off my food. So sorry to write this and be personal towards your staff but....first impression is what counts. Smile. Be polite. And most of all no sweat dripping off the staff...
