With such a wide range of cafes just a stone throws away in kingswinford, it's easy to overlook the places that are slightly further out but the Backyard Cafe is well worth it. The menu is well thought out which makes it a difficult choice when deciding what you want to eat. The staff and the manager were attentive, friendly and had such a great knowledge of what people want when it comes to quality and taste. My husband had the Brekkie Burger which, in his words 'was an emotional rollercoaster' the tears filling his eyes watching it being plated at the pass. It was fresh, steaming hot and the perfect breakfast burger. Every element was maticulously thought about and gave the burger a depth of flavour that would have been lacking if it wasn't there. The hash browns; thick, crispy and tasty. I will always choose Eggs benedict and this one was, I'd say, the best Eggs Benedict I've ever had. The bacon crispy, the poached eggs absolutely perfect and the hollandaise; smooth and thick. We left content, well fed but not feeling heavy or uncomfortable and with a box of homemade cakes in hand. We're really looking forward to coming back and sampling the rest...

An absolute gem of a place! Saw someone talking about this little cafe on Facebook so we decided to visit this morning, brunch out on the hottest day of the year ☀️ The Backyard Cafe did not disappoint! The decor is just gorgeous, quirky and original. The attention to detail is superb - like the little tongs that hang on the sugar pots on the tables! I had the pancakes (home made, fluffy inside, crunchy outside - perfect!) with scrambled egg (creamy, with chopped chives to add to the flavour) with a pot of maple syrup. Beautiful! And I was given extra pancakes as I asked for no bacon, it's the little things! My other half had the beef shin chilli hash, it looked amazing and he really enjoyed. The food was freshly made, didn't take long at all and was hot and really well presented. The coffee was super rich and perfect temperature. The cake selection looked fab, so we took a selection with us to visit friends! Honestly, this little place has been created with love and it shows in all aspects. I love seeing local businesses like this and it is clearly thriving with many tables reserved for later today - and rightly so! We will be back tomorrow for...

Spoiled for choice, friendly staff, contemporary vibe to the trad brekkie

The menu is modern and eclectic, Smashed Avocado on sourdough sits alongside toasted brioche with Berry compote with honey, the ubiquitous Full English Backyard breakfast provides a robust staple. Of couse as you'd expect Veggie options are actively promoted. Food allergies are catered for.

Would have given 5/5 stars for food today however my sarnie.s sausages were not freshly cooked, appeareing a little unloved, tired and underwhelming. Perhaps they had been left under heatlamp a little longer than they'd have liked.

Despite a minor moan about sausages it's a place worth visiting. it's not your 'greasy spoon' breakfast cafe, it really is a gem, a...
