How to serve up disappointment! 0rdered on line paid £36 for 2x scampi 1x haddock 1x chips 1x curry sauce 1x onion rings. Collection time 7pm. Arrived to collect 5 mins early, about a dozen others waiting at outside counter. Told running 10 mins late. Ok fair enough it's busy. Came back 7:10, more customers outside. Rumour is that the wait is now 15 mins for the award winning fish and chips, 7:25 still not called me, so I approach the counter and give details, spying the row of fried food in the warmer. After rummaging around in a pile of order slips they find mine. Ah sorry sir we forgot the vegan scampi, 2 mins all will be ready. Finally we get our supper and a free bottle of water, sorry about the wait. We hurry off in our van to seaside car park and divvy out our previous cargo. Oh dear what a disappointment our award winning fish and chips turn out to be. Cause it's been sitting in the warmer for 25 minutes, soggy scampi, haddock and onion rings. 1 star for the vegan scampi as was apparently pretty good according to the purely plant eater in the family. Read moreVisited the Premier Fish Café. The shop itself looked great, clean, tidy and inviting. I entered the shop and was immediately asked what I wanted to order. They were the only words spoken. The gent then turned around with his back to me and lent on the counter talking to another member off staff. I had no idea if I was getting what I ordered or how long it would be.
I was not treated like a valued customer and felt uncomfortable standing looking and his back.
Every penny counts in this day and age, customer service costs absolutely nothing. All I would expect from any shop taking my money is good customer service and manners. A greeting "Hello"....."what can I get for you". "cooking it fresh for you so it will be a few minutes, is that ok?". And don't stand with your back to the customers. If anything maybe a little light hearted conversation.
Its a business whether your selling fish and chips or scrap metal!! treat every penny that goes in the till like your own!!

Read moreCLICK AND NOT COLLECT Pre ordered, on arrival was told to wait for the name to be called out in a chaotic manner. Waited 45mins. Walk in’s got their order before us even when arriving later than us. Then we were told ‘Annie’ has collected our order (obv not us!) We asked why not check the collection codes so things like this don’t happen, to then be told ‘we are too busy to do that’ then had to wait an extra 10 mins for our order to be recooked.
WE DIDN’T EVEN RECEIVE OUR FULL ORDER AFTER ALL THAT!
