Went to this place today, it has lovely rustic features for the building ranging from wood sculptures to beautiful decor and amazing furniture pieces to buy. I loved the decor and all items.
However we wonβt be returning, weβve recently moved to budleigh, popped in to buy some decor for our property. We had a look a round and I liked their large wooden wine racks and other trinkets for our new home. We decided to go for a coffee before making some purchases. We were at the tills for the cafe area, the male behind the till completely ignored us as we waited ( he was chatting to a female behind the till). As we waited to order A very old gentlemen walked straight past us ( wearing a red cycling top) and ordered before us ( I presume he is a local as he was chatting with the staff). I have no problem with rude customers but the staff member clearly saw us first but proceeded to take the arrogant cyclists order before ours. We finished our cake and coffee and left making no purchases. First impressions count a lot and theirs failed miserably. We often support local stores but I will just go into the high street for my coffee now and shop online / elsewhere for our...

I am a traveller, in the Christmas holiday I went to Exeter, I make a plane to see Sidmouth, when I was on the way I saw this shop's signpost mentioned that cream tea, I am Asian and thought that cream tea means strong creamy milk tea they can serve me. After drive almost 4 miles, I decided to go back to this shop to test the cream tea π. Free parking space, when I asked the beautiful lady about cream tea, she explained to me well π. I decided why not try; I ordered scones, tea, chocolate brownies and lemon cake. With clotted cream and jam, oh! My God, I can't even think how tasty it was. Inside and out a lovely and friendly environment. The fully antique decorated shop you can feel that you are in 17-18 century house but fully equipped with warm and cosy sitting. I took some photos, you can see it. Before I leave, the owner of the shop informed me that it is a family-run business; they also make hand made furniture for shoppers. Who making plans to go, Devon or Exeter I would suggest to try their food.
You would go back again...

We limped the car up the busy Rd and made it into the carpark here. We had just got out to look at the damage, and a women came over and told us they were closing.
I explained we got a flat tyre and were just looking to see the damage to which she replied you'll have to leave the carpark because I'm locking the gates because we are closed, we had our 3 year old in the back.
We left the carpark and sat by the edge of the road changing the tyre. Now, we didn't expect her to keep the carpark open, we didn't expect her to go out of her way for us but she was incredibly rude and unsympathetic. Basic human decency isn't difficult! My guess is the politeness comes from the pounds...
