We booked a tour on a Saturday afternoon (2:30 pm). We went into the shop to register our booking and were asked to wait until they let us know the tour was starting. It wasn't long before the owner was spotted in the vineyard making his way down the slope to us. The tour was informal, but full of history about the vineyard and loaded with information about the vines, the grapes, the growing process, as well as the wine making process. I've been on a few vineyard tours abroad but never before were we able to walk through the vineyard whilst being taught so much by the owner; the same person who prunes every vine in the vineyard himself. His passion and enthusiasm are a delight to experience. The three wines we tasted, a sparkling white, Still white, and a red, were all remarkably "clean" to the palate. My wife prefers sweeter whites and I prefer heavier reds, but there was no mistaking the clarity and quality of these wines that I would thoroughly enjoy on a picnic or of an evening. There's a very big difference in taste to supermarket wines that seem chemical in comparison. We thoroughly enjoyed the tour and tasting and only wish we'd brought a blanket and a picnic to enjoy the sunshine and wine on a lazy August day. I highly recommend this tour if you have any interest in vines, grapes, or wine.

We came across this place through happenstance. My wife purchased a Travelzoo voucher on the net for a Vineyard visit for four people and as it was near my mother-in-law we decided to give it a go. We weren't disappointed. It helped that the weather turned out to be nice, but if you have a deeper interest in wine and the growing of it, then this will enlighten you! The tour through vines was entertaining and interesting and time just flew past. Afterwards we were given four samples of their wines. It also helps that their wines are pretty good. I recommend trying their Raleigh Brut sparkling, which is excellent. Well worth the visit and the money!

Very informative tour, by friendly and knowledgeable hosts. Sampled several of the English wines available too. Highly recommended.

We were met by the owners Alan and Faye on arrival. They explained the visit/timings etc. We first did a tour of the vines with Alan which was excellent and very informative. As a wine group we asked permanent questions and received well considered answers. Alan made the whole tour not only interesting but entertaining. Once the tour finished we sat down to 5 different wine tastings accompanied by fantastic cheese, biscuits and grapes. Faye explained not only their wines, grapes and thinking behind them all but the process from grape to bottle. Both Alan and Faye were very professional and knowledgeable throughout, an enjoyable and...
