Ah man, our usual go to Indian - Star Tandoori has recently closed down so we decided to try this place again after around 2 years. Ordered online, food arrived on time, but it was not enjoyable. It may have been the unusual choice of dishes we ordered but that shouldn’t be an excuse, ever. Worried the prawns were off (could be completely wrong) but they had a horrible pungent smell to them, not the usual smell I get with a prawn puri, and I couldn’t eat them. We visited here on a Saturday evening, after booking ahead as we suspected it might be busy. We were the only table in there to begin with. However over the course of our meal the restaurant filled up, creating a very nice atmosphere. Very attentive and friendly staff. Able to adapt to out needs, even providing us with an extra onion bhaji as they usually come with four however we were a party of 5! (they overheard us joking about it). Nice intimate atmosphere perfect for our anniversary dinner. Staff were attentive but were also happy for us to sit and talk for a good long while after we had finished our meals. Indian food was very good, highly recommend both the garlic and cheese and chilli naans. Wine selection was good too. The only disappointment was the dessert which was of the frozen mass produced variety. Edible once it defrosted enough, just disappointing after such good starters and mains.
