Truly disappointed after hearing good things for ages and deciding to order when tired after a long and difficult week and fancying a delicious meal to lift spirits on a Friday evening. Sadly after spending £42 (an extortionate price for two very ordinary pizzas) this was not to be. We ordered two pizzas for collection, the caprese and the capricciosa, and were given a waiting time of 1 hour, which on a Friday evening is perfectly acceptable. Sadly, upon arrival, both pizzas were immediately clear to be hugely disappointing, bordering on inedible. I actually considered leaving the pizza and making some toast for dinner instead, but decided to try and plough on. Specifically, the bases were incredibly tough, chewy, and required so much effort to actually chew that my jaw ached after each slice. These were also the gluten free bases which we had the pleasure of paying £4 per pizza extra for - many other pizza places don’t charge extra for allergies, and we have eaten some absolutely incredible gluten free bases that rival the non-GF versions. Even dominos have a good GF base which would have been a million miles better than this cardboard equivalent. The toppings on my caprese were advertised as: “Tomato, roasted cherry tomato, fresh buffalo mozzarella, basil pesto and fresh basil”. To be honest this was pretty accurate but all the ingredients just tasted so average and flavourless. Rubbery mozzarella similar to the 50p version you might buy at Tesco, 5 cherry tomatoes that tasted like normal cherry tomatoes, some basil leaves that were tasty but again cost 50p at Tesco and some very bland and unimpressive pesto. The tomato sauce was somehow both watery and lumpy. All in all I’d say it cost them £2 for those toppings and combined with the gross pizza base it was just a huge, huge disappointment; I managed to eat 2/3 due to being incredibly hungry and tired and determined to get some food in me but honestly it was not good. Am I no longer hungry? Yes, sort of. Am I satisfied? No. Am I regretting my decision this...

After our take away test in 2022, we decided to have a meal here and we’re delighted with the food and ambiance.
Our reservation was noted on a white tile on the table (made in Spain lol!) and the place was already busy on a Thursday early evening (19:00).
We had the surprising polenta chips (POLENTA FRITTA TARTUFATA, SALSA AL GORGONZOLA Fried truffled polenta chips, with grated parmesan and gorgonzola sauce) as a shared starter, followed by a FIORENTINA and CAPRICCIOSA with extra anchovies.
Everything was delicious and more than a portion. The polenta chips were served wonderfully hot and the dipping sauce combined well.
The pizzas were delicious and filling.
The service was bright and friendly and relaxed, although the tables were pretty close to one another, so you could definitely listen in to next door’s conversation were you so inclined: but the food was much more interesting!!!
There were specials but as it was our first time eating in, we chose from the main menu.
The glass of wine was lovely (I don’t drink) and we came away paying under £50 for a delightful evening, lovely food and...
Read moreOn a friends recommendation, we decided to try these on a Sunday evening in June 2020. Ordered over the phone and agreed a later time for delivery. Pizza's were fantastic, arrived on time, were hot and, more importantly, were delicious. We had a Margherita, Arrabbiata, Toscana and Cheesy Garlic bread. All were excellent. Huge flame cooked pizza with plenty of fresh and tasty toppings. We have lunch sorted today with what was left over! Have tried the mobile pizza vans that have been popping up in the area over the last few months and will no longer be - these were head a shoulders above their offerings. We look forward to visiting the restaurant to have a sit down meal when we are able. Keep up the good work and we should support local independents. The vans can move on, these people have to stay and make it work or fail. I hope they can see themselves through these strange times and make a go of it. On the basis of our first meal they...
