"Excellent breakfast for under a fiver" (Feb '20)
(Update May '22 - Alas breakfast is now a whopping £8, tea still £2, and coffee £2.30. It's been an eventful 2 years for everyone, and I guess the hospitality trade have bills to pay too. The remainder of the review below still stands the test of time, and prices merely reflect today's economic conditions.)
It was actually the 3rd choice for Friday breakfast in Liphook that morning - both other options Google had suggested were in fact closed.
Lazy Lizard offered a friendly welcome, in a clean, comfortable setting. The breakfast appeared to be cooked to order, and both sausage and bacon are almost certainly local produce.
A small pot of tea was a disappointingly additional £2 - which perhaps highlights just what good value the breakfast itself is.

Read moreI have never been treated or spoken down to with such disrespect by a member of staff in my life. The front of house 'lady' was obnoxious, rude and short tempered with us. After abuse from the said member of staff, we then waited 45 mins in an empty cafe for the poor excuse of a breakfast which was put in front of us. The bread was stale, the bacon was cremated, the egg was dry and the whole plate rocked around the very unstable table. Over priced, over cooked along with being shouted at by staff, I can honestly say I would rather eat at McDonald's than this establishment as at least the staff there come with basic manners. Read morePopped in for a morning coffee, the lady who served me was lovely but this is the only positive.
Unfortunately, the flat white I ordered was awful - milk overheated, a little dollop of foam on top but not much else, little to no coffee flavour present - easily the worst I've ever had.
The other member of staff on shift was very loud and somewhat rude - talking audibly about how frustrating men are.
