Read moreWe will never stay here again. Extremely distressing end to our stay. Ruined the trip completely. There is no check out system at this pub. The cleaners have keys to your rooms and will enter and clear out your belongings without checking whether you have left the premises. They are unprofessional and rude to customers.||I booked two rooms for one night. The booking was made by phone and the payment taken over the phone. There were no confirmation details sent or given. On arrival we were shown to our rooms, told that breakfast was not served at the pub but could go to a nice cafe nearby. No mention of check-out time, and I didn’t think to ask. The pub doesn’t open until 11.00am so assumed that would be the check out time. ||Whilst having breakfast nearby the following morning, the receptionist called me at 10.20am to say the cleaners were in the rooms asking about our belongings! She told me the check out was at 10.00am, so I asked if 11.00am would be possible? She said yes. ||We returned to our rooms around 10.40 to find the cleaner had cleared out the rooms, changed bedding etc and gathered all my belongings, makeup, shoes, clothes, toiletries etc and bundled everything randomly into my two bags. With dirty outdoor shoes thrown on top of clean clothes. She had even dismantled my stand up makeup mirror! I was extremely distressed at all of this, and it completely ruined my day. She still attempted to walk into the room claiming rudely that check out was at 10.00am! Who is in charge here, the cleaners!? Regardless of checkout time, the cleaners have no right to enter the room until our keys have been handed to reception. And no right to touch and pack away personal belonging! Besides it had been agreed we could stay until 11.00am. There was no apology, and despite emailing the company a month ago,...
