Not been here before and we were looking for somewhere for lunch. Managed to get a table, and then we’re just left, staff chatting, my wife had to get up and go and get menus, (and it wasn’t busy) the napkin was stuck to the table as the table was dirty from the previously customer/s. Finally we were able to order drinks and food. Food was very good, when it turned up the poor girl had no idea which plate was who’s and she appeared terrified when we asked, which was which…. Bless her. Certainly the food was the high point to be fair. Would go back for the food. Roasts here clearly very good. Easy to access, parking and plenty of seating inside and some outside. This could have so easily have been 5 stars, it’s just being let down by what I believe is attention to detail, and on our visit the dirty table. (An easy fix, but shouldn’t happen) We didn’t stay so can’t comment on the rooms.

Staying just one night while traveling the South Coast for work, I found this lovely pub which has just 6 rooms available for B&B. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived, once cleaned up and in the bar; locals and bar staff were all friendly and had an evening meal that didn't disappoint. Pub is dog friendly, clean, bright and warm. Slept well on a a great bed and in the morning was served a breakfast that would have filled the most demanding of Contractors! In all honesty apart from an average size shower enclosure, there is nothing I can say in even the slightest of negative tone regarding my nights stay. Will definitely keep this little golden nugget on my list of places I will definately go back to next time I'm working in the area!

Always heard about the roasts here and finally got the chance to try. WOW, best roast we’ve ever had, portions are huge and absolutely delicious. Service from start to finish was impeccable! Joel was so helpful and always checking in with our little one. Compliments to all the chefs today! Highly recommend, will be returning! Thanks Robin Hood Staff!

We will never stay here again. Extremely distressing end to our stay. Ruined the trip completely. There is no check out system at this pub. The cleaners have keys to your rooms and will enter and clear out your belongings without checking whether you have left the premises. They are unprofessional and rude to customers.||I booked two rooms for one night. The booking was made by phone and the payment taken over the phone. There were no confirmation details sent or given. On arrival we were shown to our rooms, told that breakfast was not served at the pub but could go to a nice cafe nearby. No mention of check-out time, and I didn’t think to ask. The pub doesn’t open until 11.00am so assumed that would be the check out time. ||Whilst having breakfast nearby the following morning, the receptionist called me at 10.20am to say the cleaners were in the rooms asking about our belongings! She told me the check out was at 10.00am, so I asked if 11.00am would be possible? She said yes. ||We returned to our rooms around 10.40 to find the cleaner had cleared out the rooms, changed bedding etc and gathered all my belongings, makeup, shoes, clothes, toiletries etc and bundled everything randomly into my two bags. With dirty outdoor shoes thrown on top of clean clothes. She had even dismantled my stand up makeup mirror! I was extremely distressed at all of this, and it completely ruined my day. She still attempted to walk into the room claiming rudely that check out was at 10.00am! Who is in charge here, the cleaners!? Regardless of checkout time, the cleaners have no right to enter the room until our keys have been handed to reception. And no right to touch and pack away personal belonging! Besides it had been agreed we could stay until 11.00am. There was no apology, and despite emailing the company a month ago,...
