I recently visited the Propeller Restaurant at Tattershall Lakes with my family, and unfortunately, our experience left much to be desired. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that the restaurant fell short in several areas, ultimately leaving us feeling disappointed and regretful.
The problems began when our food arrived, and we discovered that the quality was below average. I ordered the mozzarella and prosciutto burger, but it came out burnt with a dry bun. Even after returning it, the second attempt wasn't much better. Meanwhile, my partner's mushroom pasta, which should have been a simple and tasty dish, was unexpectedly loaded with jalapenos. This not only affected the flavor but also left us puzzled by the choice of ingredients.
What made matters worse was that the poor quality extended to the entire family's meals. Considering we paid £145 for the six of us, we expected better. Unfortunately, the reality fell far short of our expectations. The overall experience left us dissatisfied, both in terms of taste and value.
I decided to share my concerns with the staff, and the waitress politely acknowledged my complaint, promising to pass on my comments. However, it was evident that our issues were not isolated incidents but rather indicative of deeper problems within the restaurant. The impression we got was that the establishment seemed more focused on maximizing profits at the expense of providing quality food and service to hard-working individuals like ourselves.
Regrettably, our experience at the Propeller Restaurant reflects poorly on Tattershall Lakes as a whole. It seems that the park, which should be a place of enjoyment and relaxation, is affected by businesses that prioritize profit over customer satisfaction. I plan to provide a separate review of the park itself to share our overall experience.
Considering the disappointing food quality, lackluster service, and questionable business practices, I strongly advise potential visitors to explore alternative dining options. There are undoubtedly better places where you can spend your money and enjoy a more satisfying...
Read moreA difficult review to write. The food is fantastic, the breakfasts were perfect. Poached eggs runny, full English spot on. We had some sharing plates in the evening as well. Nachos, wings, loaded fries all amazing. Unfortunately the wait for food is too long. Especially with a 16 month old to entertain! The evening entertainment is brilliant. The staff are so invested and give there all for the audience. The games are fun and involve everyone. So much better than the parkdean resort we've recently been on. It does get busy, but having a tot we got there early enough for a table. I have seen people being turned away as it was full, so either book a table in advance, or turn up early! The facilities are clean and modern. Could do with some better draught taps though! All in all, a great few...
Read moreReally disappointing meal at the propeller bar. Food was hugely overpriced and so poor. My main of Tuscan salmon was totally void of any seasoning, just a bland piece of salmon sat on top of some mash which for no good reason hid a pile of jalapenos. Spotted reference to jalapenos in another review, so maybe the chef needs to understand that just throwing them in secretly is not how it works. The arancini starter was just as bad in terms of seasoning. Just some plain unseasoned white rice deep fried. No flavour to them at all. Credit where it's due, the service was good, but spending £170 for a family of four, I'd expect a hell of a lot better than we received. It's a captive audience, granted, but I'd wholly recommend...
