Arrived this evening and ordered our meal at 18:40 to table 228 outside. Kids starters arrived shortly after, then we waited 55mins for our main course. After 30 mins or so of waiting, I politely asked the waitress if the food was coming. 5 mins later, the manager came out to say the kitchen had already sent ‘all of our food out’. We stayed nothing had come out other than the kids meal as a starter. She then re-appeared after going back inside and the audacity to shift the blame back on us for ordering just one baby and toddler meal (from the kids menu) as a starter for them to share (which was an option in the app). Apparently this confused the kitchen who then put our main courses on hold, all because of one starter. As all parents of a baby and toddler will understand; they eat twice as slow and want their food asap. They don’t want to have to wait until the adults get their food. She then stated it was a 40min wait nevertheless when contesting that the way we ordered would have been understood anywhere else. The reality was…the kitchen forgot and she gave two different excuses to try to cover their backs. Lesson for your management, just accept responsibility and apologise…it was completely out of order to shirk responsibility; and moreover deliver completely inadequate food. The garlic bread that came with the BUTTERNUT & SPINACH PASTA V VE was ‘rock hard’ and completely inedible. An absolutely awful night, and felt embarrassed on your team’s...
Read moreI ate at this Harvester on Monday 21st July. My family and I were staying in Great Yarmouth and fancied a Harvester. Potters Kiln came up as the nearest Harvester. We had not booked in advance for our table at lunch time. From the moment we entered we were met with a nice man who was front of house who was able to seat us straight away. We didn't get the name of our waitress but she had black hair on one side and blonde on the other side with piercings, she made us feel right at home and was so accommodating and lovely. One of my children has a food allergy and she went out of her way to make sure we were comfortable with what we were ordering and was very informative about allergies. The restaurant was very clean, salad bar was fresh and well stocked. Our drinks were served quite quickly and there was not to much of a wait on food while we piled up our salad bowls. My steak I asked for well done and was cooked to perfection. All the meals my family ordered aswell as my children really enjoyed their food and it was a thumbs up from the kids. We were spoilt for choice with the dessert selection, my son was so glad their was a vegan ice cream choice. All our desserts were tasty and presented well. Their was plenty of parking avaliable. The toilets were really clean. I would definitely recommend visiting...
Read moreHad a wonderful meal at the Harvester recently. Even though I was by myself, the staff still looked after me very well. I was served in a reasonable time, and the food was piping hot and delicious! Had the corn bread for starters. New item, so thought I'd give it a go. Really really good! Did accidentally eat one of the chillis (I can't handle spice) and one of the waitresses very kindly grabbed me some water, as they could tell I was struggling. Had the Barbacoa burger for main. Again, really tasty, and very filling! Had the choux bun for dessert. Would have liked a bit more sauce on the plate to help cut through the sweetness, but I can't complain too much as it was great, and that is just a personal preference. I spoke to a few members of staff in the visit, and all were great! I believe I was treated and initially served by Jodie, who was lovely. I think her name was Penny. She helped me through my spice incident and a literal life saver! Lastly, I was served by Chrissy, who was one of the friendliest, most polite, and funniest servers I have ever seen, and was an all round joy to speak too! Couldn't recommend these staff any more.
Overall, had a really positive experience, and would recommend and go again. Not just the food, but...
