My sister had just booked a sourdough course at the Chantry Kitchen and suggested I join her so I did and I am very pleased that I did. What a fun day where we learned so much about how to make sourdough and how to feed your starter. Jo was very friendly and helpful and helped us when needed. As there were only 4 of us on the course with Jo it was like spending a day in a friend’s kitchen learning new skills. Lunch was excellent too and it was lovely to see the garden and pick fresh rosemary for our focaccia.I have already told several other people and hope to come back again soon.

Brilliant (and rare) experience for a teen and a parent to share in the school holidays and learn true life skills whilst having fun. Jo provided a thoroughly wonderful and productive day in her beautiful welcoming home. We learnt and made so much and found inspiration for many loaves to come! Already looking forward to another course…in the meantime I’m busy finding out about the different flours and thinking about how important bread is to life - so why settle for that boring, sterile supermarket loaf? Thank you for such a fab day.

I booked a sourdough bread making course, but it really was so much more. What a fantastic day,!! We made many different types of bread and learned ways to use up left overs. I felt quite empowered as a baker (having never baked bread in my life) and am currently making a sourdough loaf as I type. Jo was a brilliant teacher and very knowledgeable about lots of different subjects and techniques. Lunch was fab too. Highly recommend and the results to take home are to be proud of. I loved it, Thanks Jo Heidi
