1086 Wine Bar — Restaurant in Eastleigh

We waited over 40 minutes for our food after drinks arrived which took about 15 minutes. There were only 4 other people in the bar and two left shortly after we arrived. 3 other people arrived about 15 minutes after us and they got their food long before us. They were preparing food for staff in nearby shops and either forgot our order or prioritised others over us not caring that we were kept waiting.

When one of us went up to chase our food with the lady who took our order, she just said ‘Yes?’ without looking at them and then looked up and said ‘Can I help you?’ very curtly. Not one smile and no apology for any problems caused 😡 we had to leave an expensive cocktail we didn’t have time to drink and also take half of each panini away with us as we were late for an appointment- we’d arrived at 12.30 and left at 1.30 and only got our food at 1:27

We ordered a charcuterie board for 1 and 3 paninis - the ‘paninis’ we’re just like Asda mini baguettes, the ham was slimy and plasticky, the salad was just a bit of rocket and a few salad leaves with a couple of baby tomatoes - not what you’d expect for £9.99! The charcuterie board was very sparse with a very thin sliver of Brie and the same cheap ham - not at all good for £19.50!

We spent nearly £80 altogether and it was awful quality for the money and awful service except for the young waitress who we felt very sorry for.

We definitely won’t be back mainly due to the very poor service by the senior waitress. Possibly short of staff but there were 3 of them and only a group of 3 customers and our group of 4 in the place when we ordered, so not busy at all.

The place offers a wide variety of food and drinks, though I do think they should add draft beer options instead of only bottles.

I visited on 30.08.25 and was very disappointed with the service. Two young staff members were working, but they seemed more focused on chatting with each other than attending to customers. During the hour we were there, we were only asked once at the beginning if we wanted a drink. After waiting around 45 minutes, we had to go up and request another ourselves, and even then, the service was slow as they continued talking rather than serving promptly.

Unfortunately, this poor service really put us off returning, especially as it was meant to be a special night for us, and the experience left us disappointed rather than enjoying...

If I could put no stars, I would. It was horrible here. We went here today to have some light bites before wedding dress shopping. They dressed everything up to make it look nice. But £19.99 for a charcuterie board that only had only 4 slices of cheese was ridiculous. The paninis are not paninis but are tiny baguettes that took over 40 minutes to be brought over to the table, we were late for our appointment and not happy. This cost is almost £80 with a coffee, mocktails and 2 alcoholic drinks. Absolutely outrageous. The only saving Grace was the lovely young waitress that brought our food to us and...
