Little Canton — Restaurant in Eastleigh

I just ordered a chicken fried rice from here this evening. I've ordered many times before but I won't again. I called them up because the chicken fried rice they delivered tasted very fishy, wasn't edible at all. I wanted to tell them because it was really wasnt nice and he accused me of lying, saying he didn't know why I was saying it. I tried to explain politely that I was not annoyed but I just didn't like the fish taste. I also said I'd ordered from them many times before to try and make him realise I wasn't complaining for the sake of it. The owner was aggressive and rude and wanted me to prove it had fish in before he would refund food. I explained that he could send the driver back for the dish to pick it up if he wanted evidence but he said he would never give me a refund because in 26 years there was no fish in chicken fried rice and that I had to bring it back in to the restaurant myself to prove it had prawns in. I knew it didn't have prawns in- it just tasted fishy! Very bizarre situation, he was immediately angry, obnoxious and would not listen to reason or even consider my comments. No customer pereception awareness or service at all. The rice WAS very fishy and tasted dreadful. He said, take your order somewhere else, I agreed with this idea and will not order from...

We've been big fans of this restaurant, both eat in and take away for a few years now. The food is decent "english-chinese" food and there's often a dj on Friday nights making for some rowdy fab nights out with a boogie after the food. Sadly under new ownership things are deteriorating. 😕. I'm sat in the restaurant typing and waiting am age for food despite the place being dead. The new owners now have a second dj space and the interior is cluttered and muddled with mismatch furniture thats all to close together. There's a weird mashed up playlist of disco, drum and bass and jazzy chillout lift music playing. There's no dj tonight since not enough booking caused his cancellation, boo. Nevermind I cam watch silent bbc on the TV instead or play pool by the bar with the justeat delivery guys if I want. Our starter came to our table in dribs and drabs 45 mins after entering the restaurant (despite ordering speedily) and now its been 15 mins since we finished eating it amd our mains haven't arrived yet. They've even run out of prawn crackers doh! I hope things can improve or we might be looking for a new Chinese...

Restaurant and delivery terrible! My first visit here was poor, slow and almost non existent service, a drastically overpriced set menu and drinks and an overcrowded restaurant. I gave it the benifit of the doubt as it was the Saturday before Christmas. When the food eventually made its way to the table it was not worth the wait and we didn't get enough to feed us all when it was supposed to be all you can eat, but I guess that was a good thing when it was thanks to the drink that it stayed down!

I ordered food for delivery, minimum £15 spend and the lady on the phone wasn't overally pleasant but I made my peace with it. Food arrived 40mins later as stated where the delivery driver requested another £1 from me as it was over a 3 mile radius! This was not stated to me on the phone and I paid by card so wasn't willing to fork over cash or ring up for their mistake. The delivery driver left saying he wouldn't come back to my house, lucky for him I certainly won't be ordering again!
