Just perfect. !! A lovely surprise !!! Visited the following week too and can't wait for our next visit, which is already arranged !! Food outstandingly good. Delicious !! Lamb and chicken tikka very tender and flavours of each dish just gives something special. Great chef. !! Service was great, very attentive. Great variation on chefs specialities. Staff lovely, made welcome, felt relaxed and at home in the comfortable and newly refurbished restaurant. Thank you. 😊 We've since had a takeaway which was just as enjoyable, would recommend. !!

Extremely poor food, again. The food we first got from this takeaway was very good and we were impressed, with lots of flavour and depth to the food. Our experience previous to last night was not good though and I received a naga chili curry that had zero taste of naga chillies. These are distinctive in flavour and so are very easy to recognise. The curry didn't hardly taste of anything at all and was more like an Indian base gravy. We hadn't ordered for a while after that, until last night. We thought it may have been an 'off night' for them, although there was no excuse for what we received. We thought we'd give them another chance and surely they would have their main chef working on a Saturday night. Last night was much worse. The lamb phall had 4 pieces of meat in it. Just 4! The taste was very poor and had an overriding flavour/texture of too much stale powder. The naga chilli curry was watered down!! you can add as much water as you want when making a curry and when it reduces down and you've finished cooking, it will taste great (if you know how to make a curry), but if you ever add water to a finished curry it just tastes watered down and there's no escaping it - this was watered down and tasted so weak. The last chicken curry tasted off and soon as you tasted it. Something in the curry was off and not fresh. The curry tasted off. We ate very little of these and the vast majority was thrown into the bin and a waste of £36. To top it off my partner and I both had a 'bad belly' today and it cannot have been from anything other than the takeaway food. We will never order from there again. They have clearly changed chef as the food was appalling the last twice. I'll never...

For the price it’s good and I wasn’t disappointed, but it’s not the highest level.

£21 got us chicken korma, prawn Balti, chips, plain pilau, garlic naan, 4 baji, 2x salad, mango chutney, yellow sauce & a popadom

I ordered take out which was ready in 20 mins. When ordering on the phone the line was cut off before I could ask the price.

I was served quickly by a friendly waitress.

My partners korma was a bit too watery and they were shy on the chicken. Although it tasted nice. Order was taken wrong, I ordered 2x garlic naan but ended up with 4 onion baji and 1 garlic naan. Naan was nice but not thick and chewy it had a lot of thin and crispy spots which isn’t my preference. I enjoyed my Balti which I must add had plenty of prawns and they were cooked well (not rubbery). I would also add that the prawns and the curry had plenty of taste. Baji were nice I’d say about average standard. Rice was also nice and the chips were great.

Le Raaj does the best curries in Durham area but bare in mind that you would pay double.

Setting has disabled access ramp is a little steep but not as bad as some that I have seen.

There are also nice walks around the location and there is a big free car park for customers. There are railings outside we’re you can lock a cycle too.

A brief look of the interior was ok I did not use toilets. Not a particularly fancy setting but good enough.

Myself and partner rarely order curry so we would probably not return as we would rather pay a little more for...

The most disappointing curry I've ever had. The delivery time was good, just shy of an hour for half 8 on a Friday, no complaints there. I ordered a rogan josh and a pathia, with rices and naans, the rice was nice to be fair but that's all that was. Both curries were a bland watery mess, with the only real flavour coming from under cooked onion and way too much chilli powder, my son got the rogan josh, and couldn't eat it because of the heat, I like a hot curry and, but a one with flavour, this had no taste and was inedible. Both ended in the bin less than half eaten. The poppadoms were stale and soft, clearly a day old. And the naan was doughy and undercooked. The bought in mint sauce was nice though. Will never use this...
