Bilby’s — Restaurant in England

This was an absolute gem of a find. The kitchen doing the burgers which I ate at in the evening inside Bilby's is called The Burger Shed and it was one of the best chicken burgers I've ever had, accompanied by really nice onion rings, salad and loaded chips with great sauces on top. Jack who cooked it all really is the man and should be very proud of what he produces. Service was also fantastic and all really friendly. Lexi was super lovely and the place itself was a chilled spot and done very nicely. I also had some really delicious cakes to takeaway, which are made fresh - both the coffee & walnut and chocolate cakes were brilliant. Oh and I had a local cider from Harry's, which was very nice too! I'll definitely be back and would 100% recommend....

Ordered posh fish fingers and received only 3 small fish pieces, wouldn't even piece together as two normal fish fingers for 8.95! Sister ordered scampi and had 8 pieces which was fine but when we paid bill was charged for the larger portion. Didn't read menu correctly and two sizes offered but wasn't asked which size when ordering. No one came over to ask if meals OK. Absolutely no customer service when disputing bill. Cook and older staff members in kitchen area could see and hear what was being said but left to young girls to sort. No apology offered, we said we wouldn't go there again and no one responded. A lot to be said on how issues resolved as we then told a few friends of awful service who said wouldn't go there .... and then...

This was a lovely cafe and obviously very popular as the first time we went they were full so we had a little wander (some great charity shops in Crewkerne), went back and were lucky enough to find a table. My dad and I had breakfasts, he had the little one and said it was plenty, I had the veggie one and to be honest it was too much! There aren't many times I'm beaten by food but I had to leave half a piece of toast as I was so stuffed! I obviously didn't have room for cake but they looked delicious and I will be going back to test them out.
