We called in for a coffee, as we were on holiday in Crewkerne. We were too early but yet the lovely lady invited us to sit outside up the side of the Inn and she would make us a coffee and bring some water for our two dogs. She was in the middle of cleaning, so we said no we wouldn't hold her up and could come back but she said it was no trouble, so that's what we did. Impressive! We then enquired whether we needed to book a table for 4 or just turn up. She suggested booking and made a fuss of our dogs and said they were very well behaved and quiet and were welcome to come as well. The meals were excellent, and not even expensive considering the large portions, the wine and beers were good and the dessert was delicious. Read moreI eat here on the 06/04/25 I hadn't booked Sunday lunch and was lucky enough for Oscars to fit us in mid afternoon. The location is fantastic with rustic feel inside and out. We had Sunday lunch for 2. This consisted off a full chicken roast beef Yorkshire puddings stuffing and all the veggies , great quality food and including 2 glasses of wine and a pint of coke came to less than £50. Read moreI have to say this is my favourite place to eat. Generous portions, delicious food and the best steak n kidney pie I have ever eaten hands down. Take tupperware if eating the Sunday roast its big portions! This is a nice 'grown up' restaurant with a great selection of drinks and decent choice of menu whether you want an inexpensive soup or a plate of fresh scallops.
