Fish & Chips — Restaurant in England

Very long wait of about 40 minutes between ordering and receiving the fish & chips to take away. The staff seemed in total chaos including the manager who seemed more of a hindrance than help to his staff. Too many chips, the fish was dried up and the batter was bland lacking any seasoning. The lady sat next to me on the bench seating actually fell asleep during the wait. No apology was offered for the rediculously long waiting time for bog-standard fish &chips. Too many staff who kept getting in each others way. If you want to watch slapstick comedy and see how NOT to run a fast food take-away pay them a visit but if you want fast service for good food avoid going to Tucker's...

Lost customer! I always enjoyed fish and chips from here but having waited nearly 50 minutes for a “large” cod and chips it seemed like a sign to give up eating fish and chips for good. Tuckers seems to prioritise their on-line customers, all staff busy but not focussed on walk-in customers. I had my eye on a large piece of cod already in the hot counter but when I got home I was disappointed to see I had the smallest piece of cod I have ever seen and the mushiest chips known to mankind....

I think this is the best fish and chip shop in town, but recent couple of meals has been poor. Savaloys are brown inside and have a pink strip running through it. Looks like they have been cooked for weeks but just sat there. Huge bit of gristle in mine last time too. Curry sauce is getting runner, and bearing in mind, tuckers aren't cheap. My past couple of experiences has convinced me to use the other fish and chip shop in town until tuckers standards get back to the level...
