So disappointed. Went two weeks ago at the beginning of a week and the breakfast was incredible. Went today and oh dear what a difference two weeks make. This time the breakfast was inedible. Left almost every item. My sisters baked beans were stone cold might have been in the microwave but wasnât turned on. Bacon I was hitting on the side of our plates so overcooked it wasnât crispy it was cremated. Eggs so snotty and undercooked made you feel very sick looking at them. Never had raw mushrooms before not planning on having them again . Luke warm hash brown. Sausages though cooked and very nice. The parts of the toast which were toasted ok but the other parts not toasted. Coffee latte excellent. Thought we had found a regular place to have breakfast after todays effort No. Did ask the young lad had they changed the cook he said that had 2 cooks which do different shifts. Unfortunately the cook we had was not the one we had two weeks ago. When we complained having returned two plates full of food we were offered another breakfast each but declined as the first offerings were so bad . Never given the choice of a refund. ...
Read moreAbsolutely stunning food with a genuine sense off caring staff. I was quite indecisive with my choice off cake, yet I was able to choose 1 with help from Alex, a diligent young lad who informed me off any allergens + other factors that could help me in making a choice!
The café is part off the garden centre, where the staff who help run it are equally helpfull. A well presented centre which is quite accessible for all & clear signage that makes it easy to undastand + quite reasonable prices!
It's ideal access if you have your own transport, yet if you don't, then you might have a bit off trouble. It's served by the Stagecoach route 73 that runs between Bedford to Biggleswade every 30 minutes on weekdays & Saturday + not on Sundays. I would revisit again, as it's full off charm + I enjoyed myself & my travel companion was trully delighted by what she saw &...
Read moreThought I'd try the café in the garden centre ( not frosts). It's a clean wooden building with well spaced out tables. They serve typical café style fodder. Well cooked food, served on, ( first gripe) cold plates. The slice of toast was served with ( second gripe) an individual portion of pre packed butter that with the best will in the world, would never cover a small slice of bread. Such small niggles spoilt what could be an enjoyable meal. Verdict, could try harder. Update, post covid sees the plastic protection screens removed and a slightly altered menu. Shame the hot food is STILL served on a cold plate. Pleasant staff and is clean and tidy. Not much...
