My recent visit to The Crown Pub in Willington with my mother was nothing short of delightful. The ambiance of the pub provided a warm and inviting backdrop to our meal, which was both delicious and memorable.

I opted for the beef pie, which was perfectly cooked with a golden, flaky crust enveloping tender, savory beef that melted in the mouth. The seasoning was spot on, enhancing the flavors without overpowering them. My mother enjoyed the crab cakes accompanied by haloumi fries, a combination that was both innovative and satisfying. The crab cakes were crispy on the outside, yet succulent inside, and the haloumi fries added a wonderfully chewy texture that complemented the dish beautifully.

The highlight of our meal, however, was the dessert. The raspberry and white chocolate tart was a masterpiece of flavors. The tart's base was buttery and crumbly, which contrasted wonderfully with the creamy richness of the white chocolate and the tartness of the raspberries. Little gem hidden away. Food was really lovely, we went for a roast on 24/4 The dining are was lovely with plenty of rooms between tables. Catered for disability with side entrance. The staff / owners were so friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble. Loved the round tables so you could all sit and chat. A good choice on the menu. Some of us had the roast chicken some the lamb and both were cooked really well. The selection of vegetables was excellent. The children enjoyed theirs as well. Would definitely recommend and will be going back. Looked busy so would definitely book on Sunday forgot to mention the apple crumble and the cherry creme brûlée which...

We came across this pub by chance on a sunday but am so glad we did The food was absolutely amazing I'm gluten free and very rarely do I get to eat fish and chips. The batter on the fish was so lovely and a very good piece of cod that I made sure I ate it all and couldn't eat the rest of my chips The waitress Natalie made us really feel welcome and the atmosphere felt like a really family orientated business. The roast dinner are so lovely and the separate veg pots. We even got given a extra jug of gravy too Would definitely highly recommend anyone trying...
