Bluebird Cafe and Bar — Restaurant in England

An absolute delight. Having travelled from Suffolk to see friends it was such a nice surprise to end up in the Bluebird Cafe on Sunday for lunch and jazz. Normally, one thing stands out when eating out, the food, the staff, or the ambiance, not here. The staff were on another level. Attentive without being too fussy, courteous and well informed. The food choice was excellent for such a small venue but the layout and style was something that would be in keeping with Camden! The locals, in thus stunning quintessential village of Wedmore are spoilt having this on their doorstep..no not spoilt, lucky. We visited at a quiet lunchtime so expected we wouldn't have to wait too long for a salad and a toastie. Wrong: we had to wait 35 minutes. The waiter, who may have been new, cane to take our order before we had menus, then, once our mains had been delivered, never returned to see if we wanted dessert, coffee or the bill. In the end, after waiting 15 mins, we went downstairs to pay at the till. The food was lovely and it was great that such good food was produced from a tiny service area. We've came across this place when we came to the area from a long drive from London and back to London on a the same day. We needed a loo break and a pick me up coffee. The place is clean and the stuff were amazingly friendly and kind. The ladies at the Cafe added a lovely impression on this beautiful village. I was positively surprised to have a really tasty 2 vegan options for the cakes. Unfortunately for me I didn't like the coffee bland but that just a matter of taste... the place is well recommended if you are passing by or a local. They even have life music on some...
