Where do i start ordered food for 12 people 4 kids and 8 adults waited a while as expected for 12 people. Food arrived and 3 of the meals were dreadful as you can see from the photos the avocado from 2 salads was off so they offered chip's as a substitute knowing that they had no more avacado. Then the childs burger then turned up more like a hockey puck as the bun was that hard it was inedible. So we complained to the staff and a new burger and chips was ordered. The manager Ellis obviously knew about this but made zero attempts to come over or apologise leaving his staff to sort it out in my eyes zero management skills. We had all finished eating and waited 10mins and the burger and the chips turned up. Totally too late and unwanted and still no management skills to sort it out. Next the deserts turned up banana pancakes guess what no bananas. When we asked the staff it was oh we havnt got any. Absolutely useless the worst chain meal we have ever had. Thanks Ellis for your skills in the situation another brewers fayre customer never to return.

Usually love it here for my children. But last night I thought the service was a shambles and when I politely said when paying a nearly £200 bill, Ian said yeah we're short staffed, what more do you want me to do.... whilst walking away shaking his head and storming into the kitchen. We arrived at 4:45 and our mains took over a hour and then we thought we would chance the puddings which took over half an hour, we received apple pie and custard on a side plate. And despite the server passing us the puddings not one dinner plate got moved. Walking around you could see the whole restaurant was in the same boat but majority of tables was empty, it was probably the quietest it's ever been but service still shocking. Working in hospitality myself, communication to the customer prior and an apology would of made us feel more in the loop, but walking out feeling like we couldn't put our expierance across I think is disgusting.

This was a cute little gem just near the Humber bridge. Friendly staff, name badges aren't so clear like NHS name badges. The gluten free options were very limited which was disappointing since it is easier to have these options available at all times. There was a flimsy folder, a nice menu would be amazing with 20 options. No jacket potatoes available which added to further disappointment. The drinks were refillable which is good, minus that I have a sugar low and no sugary drinks so not great for myself. The pizza was great, fresh tasting, with options to bolster that soft yet crispy crust. The chips were lush! With nice seasoning with the staff offering a range of sauces Price was suitable for the working class of 2024, the parking was good minus one area where the tree had overgrown. Toilets were clean and tidy, with plenty of rolls and hand-wash. A little cold but never mind.

I think that this is the worst place I have ever visited. On Sunday 27/06/21 my husband and I booked a table via the telephone for 9am the next morning Monday 28th as we had to travel from our home in Bridlington to Louth in Lincolnshire on the next day Monday. We arrived promptly at 8.55 and joined the queue of 3 other couples standing outside, after 10 minutes it was our turn to enter ( by now frozen ) and shown to a table , our order was promptly taken and coffee and orange arrived promptly ( although only one tiny sachet of sugar each although one other arrived on asking, still not enough but we decided to manage ), I ordered the full breakfast with scrambled egg, my husband the full breakfast, and then we waited, and we waited, and we waited, 9.20 came, 9.30 came, 9.45 came and still no food. The lady at the next table said, when she heard us asking the waiter if we had been forgotten, that she had waited 50 mins, the waiter went to ask , came back and said "its not my fault, we only have one chef", I said then we will have to cancel as by now we where starting to run late. He went back to the kitchen and said " he is plating yours now ", and 5 mins later it arrived. So let me take you around my plate. !!!!! two cold half tomatos that looked like they may have raced past the grill, one hash brown , burned on one side and oozing grease, mushroooms oozing grease, cold scrambled egg??? tasted like water, lukewarm beans , two almost raw sausages, two rashers of bacon that actually looked ok, however when tried they were rancid. and two slices of toast, which was ok and I actually ate , the rest stayed on the plate to go to the bin where it should have gone in the first place. By this time it was 10.25, we were late, frozen solid , it was so cold in there , and totally hacked off. My husband paid while I visited the toilets, the sign in there said "wash your hands for 20 seconds" ha ha , the tap would only run for 5 seconds, the hand drier was broken and no other means of drying your hands was provided, so unfed, frozen through and with wet hands, and runnning late we left saying " was,nt it a good job we booked as we had a tight timetable, but a good breakfast was just what we needed " lol OMG never ever again , avoid...

I visited on 17/09/22 at 4:15 with my partner, step son and my sisters family! When we arrived the young staff was rude and ignored us when we asked if it was possible to sit down stairs. They then went on being rude for the rest off our visit. They gave us the children’s menu without the crayons so it meant the children became agitated until the staff eventually gave us them. We then ordered our food and it came out rather fast when the food arrived it wasn’t hot it was almost cold all the burgers bread buns was stale there was hardly any flavour to the food it was just slung on the plate it was awful. My sisters burger was supposed to come with onions it came with one slice off onion. My partner had the ultimate Yorkshire pudding with sausages In they was clearly left from the breakfast and re used. My step sons food was on another level it was disgusting the chicken pops was burnt hardly any chicken in them. Beans just slung in to his plate all over his chips. All The food had clearly been prepared earlier on and left as every meal did NOT taste fresh. We was not asked once during our meal if everything was okay it’s like the waitress was ignoring us. We also got the refill diet cokes they was even bad as they had no taste as the flavouring had run out! As a table we spent £80 and it was so disgusting we will never be returning again and at a time like this where the cost off everything is going up they need all the customers they can get!

The only praise I have about this visit was that the elderly waitress she offered us complimentary deserts we declined as the food was that bad we didn’t want to eat anything else from there. She was the only pleasant staff member that we came across!

So at all cost...

Visited here last night. Positives and negatives to the establishment.

Positives food was very nice. Didn't have a long wait for food.

Negatives upon arriving I could smell what I can only liken to the smell of cooking fat as soon as we opened the door. We was met by a lady who escorted us to the table pointing out the arrows on the floor, put there for covid safety, although we was seated right near another table not a metre apart, we moved our table slightly so we was. Not sure why has hardly anyone in the place. Order was taken for drinks an food at that point. I ordered a pink gin and was brought a normal gin, when I mentioned it the lady questioned if I was sure, I assured her I was an she took it back to the bar an was replaced thank you. No gin glasses available apparently they are not allowed to wash glasses until dishwasher was full. Also had to bat away alot of fruit fly so I am going to assume pipes aren't being cleaned properly.

I found the staff robotic not many smiles, like they would rather be anywhere else than working, apart from an older lady she was smiling alot. I was also shocked that no staff wore masks when approaching the tables or at all during the visit. We had to remove drinks from tray ourselves, but they put our food in front of us and also came right up to the table to collect payment.

Shame the establishment looks like it could be really good. I've been to a few of the chains restaurants over time and was only visiting hull, so wasn't aware how it was. The taxi driver told me it had a bad reputation with the surrounding...
