We moved to Lincolnshire in 1984 and I used to go here as a child. Well, I think that's the last time there was any investment in this park. The best thing is that the parking is free. We went on a Saturday mid morning and it wasn't busy. We walked up onto the bridge which was nice. It's a good job I remembered the way because he signage is terrible. The original way in from the bridge by car was coned off and the signage to go around was terrible too. We walked down to the foreshore which has a nice big playground but the toilets will probably rank in my top three of most disgusting I've had to use in my life. There are two cubicles in the ladies. One was out of order and the other had no lock. They also were incredibly smelly. Walking back through the county park, the signage again is poor, they could do with more maps. There are some very old sculptures but nothing more. With it being an old quarry I suppose it's hard to get the trees to thrive. Expect lots of nettles and brambles. It's a shame because I remember people picnicking here loads when I was a kid. This is not an accessible friendly park either. Steep steps down and up mean you will have to drive to the foreshore to get around the park. There is no longer a cafe although there is a pub on the foreshore. There Wellbeing Hub in the main carpark is small and the ladies were lovely serving us but they don't take card, it's cash or bank transfer. We live in the midlands now and maybe we are spoilt where we live but our local county park has a stunning natural sculpture train, carved figures and a Labyrinth. This park could also accommodate a mountain bike trail. We saw lads biking the sides there today, I'm sure it would be much safer if it was officially incorporated into the park. It's a bit sad walking round the park now. I'm glad...

My girlfriend and I booked a table here on a Saturday morning for that evening at 7.30pm. We got there 5minutes early, paid for our parking and got told to choose any table we wanted. We sat down and ordered our food through the QR code at 19.37 and I went to the bar to get our drinks. Then one of the members of staff told us that the kitchen closed at 7.30 and we wouldn’t be able to eat. We spoke to someone that morning on the phone to check that the booking was okay and it said on the website that food was served till 9pm on a Saturday. Everywhere else was too busy and we had to go home. Our refund was in change and there was no explanation. The other customers were also not pleased with their evening due to staff swearing and cold food. We won’t...

A place locals have known for many decades and by different names , to many it is known as Little Switz as at one time the steep slopes would be a challenge to climb. These days though the place has been transformed into a pleasant family walk, paths are made which will lead you to the centre and a kind of pond. Although frowned upon by the authorities children used to wade into the water, sometimes with their dogs, but I'm not sure if that is the case today. Open all the year round you would need to be suitably attired in wet weather, and it is a haven for dog walkers whatever the weather. A former chalk quarry which at one time had an abundance of wildlife which was all lost when it became a place for a planned leisurely stroll in a more human...

A great place to explore and spend time in nature. Use the carpark as your starting point and you will have so many options: walk across the Humber Bridge and go into Barton or out to the Ropewalk or Waters Edge, explore the paths of Little Switzerland or walk along the Transpennine Trail towards Brough, stopping off at Ferriby or Hessle… Walking across the Bridge is great with amazing views but choose your day carefully as the wind can be challenging. We were very lucky to be there when the wind was almost non-existent but decided to walk along to Ferriby rather than cross the Bridge. Crazy walking with good views.

This place could be so much better with some thought and attention. There is a good clean toilet block by the main car park area, but the toilet block near the children's playground were all out of order. The paths are extremely muddy in places, due to flooding (including the boardwalk area and the under bridge passes). There are quite a lot of dogs off lead, with a number of them with no recall (problematic if you have a dog reactive dog). It could really do with a café to get refreshments, but apart from the Country House Pub (which isn't suitable with a muddy dog), there isn't anywhere.
