I had been to this bakery every day I was working in York. The pies, pasties and rolls are always hot and fresh. The sandwiches are also fresh that day too. As well as sweet treats, I'm sure many locals would say a bakery of perfection. Best time for availability would be anytime before 11:30am. After this time you be disappointed to find your favourites already sold, not to say your eyes will not be caught by another product, for sure!

I've been coming here for years and its always been very good. Its basically a sandwich shop but when I say sandwich you get a baguette type thing with a good amount of proper filling (i.e. it'll actually fill you up). They also sell things like pasties, sausage rolls, cakes and stuff, and its properly home made. Prices are OK, its about £3 for a sandwich but they're a good size.
