A late delivery wouldn't be a problem if the food arrived hot. The order was marked out for delivery, and I queried why a 1 minute drive already had taken 10 minutes, but accepted there would be other deliveries in the area. However, the food arrived 30 minutes later, the burgers lukewarm, chips limp and near cold. Complaining about this, the female mos got defensive, insisting the delivery would go straight out, when clearly an address a lot further away was being driven to first, and by the time it took to return to town, our food was cold. The solution offered was that I would reheat the burgers, and they would send out fresh chips, on priority order, would credit the price of the burgers to my address, and I'd claim by ordering directly from the restaurant a later date. The "priority" order, arrived 45 minutes later.... 12 days later I called the restaurant to claim the free burgers, to be told no entry made in their book about it. The female manager spoke to her colleagues, and nobody could recall the order or the calls I made. Very odd. The female manager told me that as there was no record of my complaint, they couldn't reward me the credit I was promised 12 days earlier on the 16th of October, and was only, as a "Good will gesture ", willing to offer 20% discount of today's order, which I found insulting, I declined, saying I'd rather leave a really bad review. It is not my fault that the entry of the complaint and the solution offered was not in their book, and instead of an issue being resolved satisfactory, I now have had 2 experiences of appalling customer service from this restaurant. We have been regular customers, but I will definitely not order from this restaurant, Burger Now or Sushi Now, which is run by the same people, again. Read moreI absolutely adore the food at Burger Now but am so disappointed they got rid of my favourites - The blues burger, mushroom fries and hotdog fries. I don’t really like anything else on the menu which puts me off ordering now. The 3 stars are for the customer service/delivery. I’ve messaged Burger Now several times on their Instagram page with no response in regards to said items being removed from the menu (they post stories and posts but can’t get back to their customers) and have used their online chat service, only to be told the person replying isn’t in store and I should call the store which can be difficult to get through to. What’s the point in that? However, the thing that annoys me the most is they never read the delivery instructions, even though they give you the option to put them!! It’s the same on Just Eat. I purposely put my next door neighbour’s house number as if you search mine a Satnav will take you the wrong end of my street and that alone causes problems in itself. So many times, if not all the time, I’ve had them go next door. I asked one girl if she’d read the instructions and she said “it’s says number 12”. I said to her to read the rest of the delivery instructions too and then maybe we wouldn’t be having this conversation!! I’ve even called the store, on top of leaving instructions, to definitely make sure the store staff will inform the driver but still they either go the wrong way (when I’ve entered my own house number) or go next door. Is it so hard to read instructions and/or pass a message on? I wish you guys would take this on board and also bring back my favourites! Read moreshocking service. Placed an order online and they only delivered half. When I tried to ring ye person dealing with it was dismissive and unhelpful and said I had to go through the chat on the website. When I finally got through on the website they told me to contact the kitchen. I rang back and i heard the person who I was previously speaking to on the phone to the website telling them to "refund the whole order". Eventually got a refund while half of my food went cold.
If they had just been more helpful when I the first time my mind may have been changed about the place. But they just pinned the blame on me and left me to sort it out. The first few times I ordered the food from here was pretty good, but the chicken is really bad.
